Absolutely superb performance

Sat Jan 19, 2013 7:25 pm

I clicked on half time only to read the same clueless cretins mercilessing slating our players but for me it was just what we needed to do.
Tommy Smith, Kimbo and Taylor were outstanding and as the game went on conway grew more and more into the game. Without our best defender we still looked unshakeable second half and our work rate was immense.
I've never known a city side so comfortable defending a one goal lead in the last quarter of a game, and for me every one of those players deserves a huge pat on the back tonight.
Big up to super kev tonight as well, i thought he was excellent and didnt put a foot wrong all night.

On what was an appalling pitch we played well, a number of errors the majority caused by the pitch, but we passed fairly well and tried to counter attack a lot more than I have recently seen.

On a better pitch I think our goal tally could have been higher as the passes would have found their mark.

80 minutes gone, throw in down in the corner, who takes it.... Cowie!!!
My immediate thought was "You clinical b*stard Malky!!!" :D :D :D :D

Credit Blackpool, because their goal was a very good one. Perhaps Taylor
got caught out slightly. But Taylor??? The weakness in defence???
Not on your nelly, a few bad performances, got his place back and has been
excellent.

Kim Bo for me shone on that quicksand. What an acquisition. If Velikonja
ultimately turns out to be a flop, then hey ho... In 18 months Kim Bo will
be worth £10m :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

f**k ME IM BUZZING!!!

i'm buzzing too fella. malky has played a blinder tonight, the shape of the team was perfect and our 5 in midfield (when Tommy joined in) were solid.
Last year i thought malky was slow making substitutions but this season he's bang on the money and almost every sub seems to be spot on. :ayatollah:

Malky has assembled a SQUAD who play and work for each other , the commentators mentioned the work rate of the TEAM more than once and even though we lost both our first choice centre halves and no Bellamy, we still looked quality !

If it was any other team , we would all be saying they look like potential champions BUT lets keep our feet on the ground and like Malky says take it one game at a time ! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Fantastic again tonight away from home, i've never been a Conway fan but he won me over tonight - thought he had a great game. We missed Bellers but Conway chased and harried all night and Tommy Smith's strike was awesome. ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Kim Bo-Kyung was leaps and bounds ahead of all the other players on the pitch tonight for work ethic. We played very well, but the 1st half for me was looking like a bit of a bore goaless draw from both teams. The 2nd half Malky did everything right and we started to play with a cutting edge that really made Blackpool like they had no answers to anything we created.

just got back from blackpool and im absolutely delighted
my first thoughts when i heard the team was will kimbo fancy it in atrocious conditions    what a blinder he had,the lad oozes class
Conway and kev mcnaughton showed what characters we have in the dressing room, both lost their places but responded fantastically
connelly, helguson and tommy smith--If QPR still had them three theyd be comfortbaly mid table
taylor-playing the best football of his life-he owned tom ince
gunnar-absolute warrior in the middle of the park

palace and zaha, chris wood and leicester-not a patch on the current cardiff city team :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
