Check out the tables after 28 games in the last 3 seasons:

I think the last time someone had more points than us after 28 games was Reading back in 2005/06.

Not seen too many non website related threads from you of late owain! You getting excited!!!

Great spot that Owain, it shows exactly what our achievement so far this season really is.

Shows how well the team are doing.
If only they were doing it in blue!

I feel very easy about what we have to do when I look at what it would take for OTHERS to go above us.
Leicester and Hull would need 12 wins, 4 draws and and 2 losses to get 90 pts. We could do 90pts with. Only 9 wins, 3 draws and 6 losses.
It's so good to have such an advantage.

Says it all...

If we win next 3 games then I will be celebrating already
Sat Jan 19, 2013 9:48 pm
We also have more wins under our belt than any of them
Sat Jan 19, 2013 10:00 pm
And we are further ahead of 2nd place than any of the previous seasons

If you average 2 points a game you piss the league

good to see that our away form has now turned into a positive also...

We may now have the luxury of only needing just over 1.5pts per game. Nice to have the buffer.

Today was vital.

Looking at Championship stats we are now the 2nd best team in the league away from home with only Hull having a better record than us (1 point more on the road). Add that to the best home form and the result is obvious.... We are going up!!!! Yes there is a long way to go and the away from was a concern but that has been turned around, so as long as we continue to work as hard for the remaining 18 games then the results will come and no-one will be able to catch us especially with a 10 point lead.

Just a slight warning.
If you look at the games left for the top 11 teams playing against OTHERS in the top 11, us and Forest have the most difficult run in.
A few have 8 games but we have 5 of those away from home.

My god we must be sooooo lucky so far
Sun Jan 20, 2013 4:00 am
Well we may have a tough running but everyone is playing catch up
Sun Jan 20, 2013 9:54 am
Playing teams at the bottom could be tougher as they are fighting for there lives, but this applies to every team, we just keep on doing what we're doing and we're home and hosed.
I can't believe that we can lose this lead and I'm just counting down the games.

Wayne I actually think this is a good thing. My reasons are:
a) We have 7 games against sides at the bottom end of the table so, whilst we may not win them all, there are points there to be obtained
b) Sides will have to attack us. That is when I think we are at the most dangerous
c) Other sides at the top will take points off each other - which will benefit us - as we already have points on the board

Thars brilliant we play better against the better teams

You are dead right Paul and Bluebina. We have the best record against top half clubs and it means we have more opportunities to scuttle pretenders to our position.
Probably better to have a say in the points distribution at the top.
