' Our support last night '

Sun Jan 20, 2013 9:46 am

Was simply awesome.

I don't know how it came accorss on the TV, but we didn't stop.

A few of us stripped off from the start singing 'Blackpool's too warm' for us and didn't stop.

Manchester Pub was brilliant, full of City fans and loads of singing in there, and even the bus journey home - we got back about 3 AM !

40 turned up out of 44. 2 couldn't get out of Merthyr and 2 young children (including my lad) didn't travel.

Don't forget, it was a late k.o. on TV and at a sh1t-hole of a place with a very long journey.

Loved every minute -and now I'm starting to believe this really could be our year. Atrocious pitch, but a team with balls who won the fight.

I honestly think the players were lifted by our support tonight and fair play they really seemed to appreciate it, coming over to acknowledge us at the end.

So, so proud to be a Bluebird :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Great support last night. Huge respect to those that travelled in awful conditions. I seem to remember one certain team who took 38 fans in similar conditions to bramhall lane. Can't quite remember the teams name ;-)

I cringed when I saw the fans stripped off.

Hats off to everyone who made the journey. It would only have been a three hour one
for me but given the weather conditions i opted for the telly instead. I bow down to the
greater dedication showed by the 900 :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Loved the "lets all do the Malky" at the end. Hilarious! We should get the mods to create a fist pump smiley

900 apparently mate.

I met one of their players, Craig Sutherland on Friday night in walkabout. He was absolutely pissed. Said he was out for the season.

I asked him who he thought would win and he said Cardiff. He didn't seem to think too highly of Blackpool.
He said he didn't care who won because it didn't affect his pay.

Arrogant b*stard.

Sounded great on the telly, not saying we took a small following but when you travel a long distance and you've taken 900 it's brilliant, you feel more together as a unit on willing the team on. Not saying big followings are different but Blackburn away is an example. Hope everyone had a good trip! :ayatollah:

Our away support is part of our identity that Tan and his malaysians can never take.A few of the lads had been on the pop all day but it just added to the atmosphere
Great to see all the familiar faces buzzing over the win,if only the atmosphere at home could reach similar levels

I was in Walkabout Friday night as well mate. I'm surprised my crowd wasn't chucked out to be fair as we must have sung the Fraizer Campbell song for a good half hour non stop, so you can imagine our disappointment when we realised he isn't signing for us just yet!

Incredible support!

I may have spoke to you or your mates. I was bouncing around doing the ayatollah with some city fans at one point. :malky:

Yeah was great! Someone was trying to get the DJ to tell everyone to do the ayatollah

We probably did speak to each other as I was talking to a group of Cardiff fans in there. I was with a group of 5. The DJ did give a shout out to Cardiff to be fair, but no ayatollah.
