Did anyone see this? When the second goal went in the guy in front of me went through the floor as the whole panel fell through! My mate fell down trying to help him and cut his leg/ripped his jeans and the other guy had to see a paramedic as his leg looked f****d. After it happened I noticed alot of the flooring panels where loose, it was lucky we were near the front as if it was one near the back it would have been atleast a 20ft drop.. Considering the state of the pitch aswell you would never think they were in the premier league recently! Still another good result and a great following

Yes mate, it was me that fell through the floor. Jumped when we scored then someone turned the lights out!!!! Luckily I didn't drop through to the floor or I might have been seriously hurt. Got some cuts and bruises and a sore leg but could have been worse. Good job I had a few pain killers before the game.
thanks to all who helped me. I'll let you know how this turns out. I think Blackpool could be in a bit of trouble over this as its not the first time this has happened.

I was literally just a couple of seats to the left of where it happened in the same row. We were all looking to our left going bonkers when the 2nd goal went in, then I turned around and saw a big hole in the floor! I immediately ran to the nearest steward and called the police and paramedics up. What infuriated me was with all this going on, the one copper was still holding his camera filming us. You'd think he would put his camera away and join in helping out! I was really worried you had fallen through, so I'm so pleased you are alright. To be fair, the stewards and police did a good job overall, clearing the area and moving us all further up out of the way. It's scary because it could have been anyone and like you say, it could have happened on the top row instead of towards the bottom. Well done to everyone who helped out and handled the situation well. Make sure you take them to the cleaners, there could be a few grand in this for you!

Uskblue, I was 5 rows behind you and did'nt see what happened at the time as when I came backdown to earth after scoring our second the area was surrounded by yellow coats and police, but glad to hear that you are OK.
It might be worth ringing the HSE in Liverpool and speak to the inspector in charge of stadiums and explaining what happened as I heard off a steward when leaving the stadium that it also happened against Sheffield Wednesday this season.
Blackpool have a duty of care to place supporters in a safe area, they are failing in this and that so called stand needs shutting down. God help if it happens again and children could be involed. Please on behalf of all visiting fans to that shithole, make the call.

in all fairness i think the stewards did a good job from what i could see, even though one of the boys heard a steward say they shouldnt be standing anyway.. i've got photos of the hole too if you need any evidence

Thanks boys. I will be taking it further on the advice of the police. A female cardiff steward came with me to the first aid centre. All my details were taken and she will also be contacting the HSE. I will take some advice this week and decide where to go from there. You're right it's not the first time this has happened and could have been a lot worse if it was children or elderly people. Thanks once again to the people that helped me. Cheers.

Good luck, about two seasons ago when we were there, a Blackpool player kicked the ball into us and hit a young girl full on, I don't think there was any apology from them, I think her dad who was with her contacted them but he was treated with contempt, I hate going there and hope sat is the last time I do

Was that when Taylor-Fletcher smashed the ball into the face of a girl wearing glasses? The impact smashed the glasses and I'm pretty sure she got rushed to the hospital because the glass went into her eyes. I hate Taylor-Fletcher, he's a vile scumbag who always seems to score against us!

"Who ate all the pies......."
Only kidding
I imagine that there will only be a claim if the person injured has suffered financially as a consequence. There is however a public liability issue which will need to be taken up with the local Health & Safety unit (the council).

Can he blame the club? There are clear signs saying to be seated during the game.
He still shouldn't fall through the floor though.

This happened when we were at Blackpool (in FA Cup) last season.
Unbelievable that it's been allowed to happen again. Not the cheapest ticket in the Championship either
