Looking at our points tally, the fixtures remaining, and the fixtures of our rivals, 6 wins will put us on 78 points.
Do you I think this will be enough, or maybe another 1 or 2?

Impossible to say really, especially in the championship
we should just take each game as it comes. The only thing i do know is if we continue to play how we have been then we will win this league.Level of consistency has been outstanding

7 more should be enough - 8 should make it guaranteed.
6 might be enough, but that would make it pretty close.

Anything less than 8 won;t be enough for automatics unless this is the weakest championship in years.
10 should get title unless it's one of the stronger champs in years.

Previous champions points tally:
2004/2005 Sunderland 94
2005/2006 Reading 106
2006/2007 Sunderland 88
2007/2008 West Brom 81
2008/2009 Wolves 90
2009/2010 Newcastle 102
2010/2011 QPR 88
2011/2012 Reading 89
Maybe a few more wins needed!

18 games left, if we win 8 of them we'll be promoted.

I don't follow your logic there, as if we won 7 more, that would give us 81 points - of the 11 other matches, say we drew 6 and lost 5, that would be 87 points - I think that would be enough for 2nd place, and it would be most years.

We'll just have to see.

I was going by wins only and losing the rest.
Unlikely I know.

right, then on that logic, I'd agree with you, but I can't see us losing more than 4-5 games for the rest of the season - if we did though, we'd need about 8 wins as you say.

Hull and Leicester on 50 - 18 games to go:
assuming they keep on ~1.8 points per game they only end up with 82/83 points which would leave us needing only 8 wins (no draws)
If one or both (or palace) went on a good run of form (promotion standard 2 points a game) they would end up with around 86 which means 9/10 wins.
It's unlikely that they will both increase their form (by 12%) so your estimation looks about right - 8 to probably go up, 9/10 to win the title
so far this season we've averaged 2.14 points per game, we'd have to lower it to 1.67 (22% down) points a game to not get the 10 wins required to win the league and 1.33 (38% down) points per game to probably crawl over the line... its looking good guys!

So if I carry the 6 then multiply by 4, then minus 16%...oh no I've gone cross eyed...

It's easy to see why managers say one game at a time isn't it
So many point to play for I'll never be convinced until its done, to many heart breaks before.
I think if we can get Campbell it will be a huge signing and give us a great chance.

9 wins will be enough or 8 if one of the wins comes against Leicester.
It sounds so easy when you say it like that but 9 games is still half of the games we have left. I say wwe just win the next 9 on the bounce to make it as easy for ourselves as possible. Like thats gonna happen
