Be honest

Mon Jan 21, 2013 8:44 am

The day of the transfer window closing, Maynard signing, plus a lot of money spent of other players, did you believe we would be in this wonderful position we find ourselves currently in?

I know I didn't. I thought we'd be one of those teams like Reading where our new players would start to gel around this time now and kick on a late push for the automatic spots.

Glad to be proven wrong. Just left speechless. Look at the table and although the league isn't over it still seems a bit unreal. Cardiff on 60 points at the top, 10 points clear, with all the crap we've been through over the years. Just seems surreal and praying every time there is a game that another 3 points are collected.

Annis, this could be the book with a fairytale ending you always wanted to publish. :ayatollah:

I don't think even the most optimistic people would have thought we'd be 10 points clear at this stage of the season. Personally I thought it would be another play-off season, finishing 5th or 6th.

After we lost at home to Peterborough we were 2 points clear of second place and 3 points ahead of third. Several of the usual suspects started pushing the panic button here - since then we've gone on a remarkable run whilst the others can't get near in consistency. There were a few of us who before Christmas said we'll pull clear of the pack soon, but not even the most optimistic of us could have anticipated this. Long may it continue

People like you and 2b have been the most postives and don't moan and cry like most people.

No chance. After we completed our signings in the summer, I expected us to be in and around the autos, but 10points clear going into feb??? Not in my wildest dreams. The fact that blackburn wolves and bolton are struggling makes this season all the more remarkable for me. Never expected all 3 relegated sides to struggle so much. Some fans are saying the league is weak this season, I actually think the league is strong this season
