I am slightly concerned in regards the delay in the sealing of the deal.We have been told terms have been agreed between the club and player and that a fee has been agreed also between the clubs, whilst the Medical passed with no issues.
But Sunderland don't want to release the player until that have a replacement lined up.
A Player who has been told he is surplus to requirements and is not considered to have any future at his current club, whos contract expires shortly with no talks of a new deal.
AND THE CLUB WANT TO KEEP HIM UNTIL THEY'VE GOT A REPLACEMENT
Something doesnt seem right.

I think behind the scenes they are confident.I noted the way Malky talked about him as if it was more or less done and dusted. I haven't heard that he is still being touted about.I guess were are all paying the price for finding out too soon.A bit like the Kim-bo saga last summer.

The fact you said "we've been told" sums it up.
Dont believe everything you hear.....

Kim Bo Kyung dragged and Maynard dragged.. Him not being in the squad on Saturday just tells us that he is leaving and I think nobody will hijack our move.

Still 10 days till the window closes so plenty of time left, but if it falls through i would imagine he has other targets and he knows he will have to act quicker or we could be in the same situation as last januarys transfer window

The other thing that came to mind was the fact that Hull could not get near the personal terms that we offered Cambell so I'm guessing unless a big club comes in for him were safe.

We only held talks with him a few days ago

He wasn't in the Sunderland squad on Saturday. He is always on the bench I checked the last 5 or 6 games and comes on in most of them so guess Sunderland just waiting on positive news on their targets before letting him go

The problem is that we find out about these things too early. If we didn't know last week that he was down for talks, we would be none the wiser and when the deal finally happened we would be pleasantly surprised.

Exactly, Hull are pursuing other options, no Prem team is coming in for him, his club don't want him. He wants to play. He's coming to us

Malky isnt one to talk about signings in detail, so the fact he has even mentioned his name is a great sign

No egg on my face... No lack of faith in my manager!!!
My concern was about Sunderland not wanting to release the player they didn't want to keep.
