Cardiff City defenders Mark Hudson and Ben TurnerCentral defenders Ben Turner and captain Mark Hudson are on course to be fit for Cardiff City’s Championship clash with Leeds United at Elland Road.
Both are training with the Bluebirds in 20-plus degrees of Dubai heat and manager Malky Mackay says: “They are looking promising for the trip to Leeds.”
Turner missed the 2-1 win at Blackpool with a minor hamstring strain, while Hudson turned an ankle at Bloomfield Road and limped off.
“Ben and Mark are out on the training pitch, but working away from the main group, along with Nicky Maynard,” says Mackay.
“It’s great to have Nicky with us. He’s still three months or so away from a return to full training, but he’s in his kit and able to work in the sunshine.
“It’s a great filip for him and important that he feels part of the group.”
The three players are working away from the main group with head of performance Richard Collinge and physiotherapist Sean Connelly.
“Ben and Mark are making progress and they will be joining in with the group next Tuesday when we are back in Cardiff.
“That will give them three or four days full training before the match at Leeds.
“Right now both look promising for that match.”
