I BLEED BLUE - TEN DALMATIONS!!!!!!

Thu Jan 31, 2013 1:10 pm

f*cking brilliant mate. I'm laughing here so I thought i'd bump it
on its own:

Ten dalmations walking down the street, Ten dalmations walking down the street
and if Kim Bo Young wants something good to eat...

There'll be Nine dalmations walking down the street

..and fade to zero

Imagine this at half-time in away games, better than the Frazier Cambell one (and our own!!!)

My one is a lot better and easier to sing.

He shot.
He scored.
He'll eat your Labrador
Kim Bo Young, Kim Bo Young.

Love the ideas

but I think with the laziness of our fan base, the easiest song to get going is;

Kim Bo-Kyung, my lord, Kim Bo-Kyung
Kim Bo-Kyung, my lord, Kim Bo-Kyung
Kim Bo-Kyung, my lord, Kim Bo-Kyung
Ohhhhh lord, Kim Bo-Kyung

:ayatollah:

Re: I BLEED BLUE - TEN DALMATIONS!!!!!!

kim bo kyung ate my dog, ate my dog,
kim bo kyung ate my dog, ate my dog,
he sliced him, he diced him, and threw him in a wok,
kim bo kyung ate my dog, ate my dog.

This is one of the oldest, tiredest and cliched racial stereotype in the book. I don't think its offensive, just unoriginal and uninspired. These same songs were doing the rounds 10 years ago when Park joined United.
Surely we can come up with something better than this?
We have a genuine talent at our club who has the potential to go right to the top and the best we have got is "You're from a place that eats dogs lololol" ?

Cheer up, where's your sense of humour? It's no different than calling ourselves sheep shaggers.

Were you around when we used to sing

"hes black, he's mean, he robs the fruit machines" to Nathan Blake??

I'm imagining you throwing yourself under a bus on Blakeys behalf

"I feel your pain Nathan, the evil bastards stereotyping you, please put your
black hand in my white hand and sing 'Ebony and Ivory' together"... then we'll
go down to the Black Lawyers Association and register a complaint"

.... And Blakey finding you funnier than the song

I agree with this. Somewhat.

I've heard it on the supporters club coaches numerous times, I quite like it, we need someone to start it!

I think its brilliant.

When Man Utd fans sing "we all hate Leeds scum" all through Half-Time it
sounds triffic.

Nathan Blake was actually prosecuted for robbing a fruit machine, it has absolutely zero to do with stereotyping.
Also, i do not find the racial cliches in these Kim chants offensive, I find them lazy and easy, as I stated in my post which I know you didn't bother reading, actually you probably won't even read this far into this one. I could say whatever I wanted here. Bla bla bla. I'll start a new paragraph now so it looks easier to read and maybe you'll understand my next point.

Kim is an excellent prospect and already a really good player, re-hashing old songs from other Korean players just seems a bit lazy, I'd rather hear a new/ clever/ witty song. And no, I'm not going to suggest one.

This is one of the oldest, tiredest and cliched racial stereotypes in the book

Thats your very first sentence. Then you go on to say its just 'uninventive'
If thats the case, why bring up the 'racial' thing at all? You find racism in
everything you see and do. You'd be no fun at all at a KKK rally

But...but... it clearly IS a racial stereotype. That is not my opinion, it is an absolute fact.
I find it amazing that I have to explain that.

I didn't say I found it offensive (i actually said that I didnt), my issue with it was that it was boring and old as f**k. That makes it a grand total of absolute zero to do with my opinion of racial stereotypes, apart from stating that it is one. But that's not debatable, it's like saying the grass is green or the sun is hot or Swansea fans are inbred twats.

So if we take away the fact that it is a stereotype, all it leaves is me thinking that Kim deserves a better chant than old Park Ji Sungsongs from a decade ago.

Simple as that.

Hes not Thierry Henry, at the moment hes a squad player who gets paid a lot of money. People can sing whatever they like.

Koreans are not a race. Korea is a country. Shall we leave it there?

Or is singing a song about a Japanese player eating raw fish 'racial stereotyping'

Or is singing a song about a Russian player drinking vodka 'racial stereotyping'

Nemanja Vidic is a Serb, Man Utd sing about him being a murderer for fucks sake...

Its possible to mention people from other Countries in a less than positive light
without there being 'racial undertones'. Humour its called, and a pisstake. We
were famous for it in Britain before Political Correctness reared its ugly white
head

OH I disagree most strongly. Political Correctness was born of middle to upper class white
people deciding

A) How white people should speak/think/act towards other ethnicities

And even worse

B) How other ethnicities should react to what these white dickheads perceive to be racist
or insulting
