Jenas to QPR - Thoughts?

Will be interesting to see how he performs at QPR. Been given an 18 month contract and I thought he looked pretty impressive for Forest when he was on loan there.

After all his injury problems how will he perform for QPR? Will he be able to break into the team?

I always liked the lad. If he finds his feet and stays fit then he can be a real decent player in the Prem nothing special.

QPR capped a hectic transfer deadline day with the signing of midfielder Andros Townsend on loan from Tottenham.

Shortly after raiding his former club for Jermaine Jenas, QPR boss Harry Redknapp has also lured England U21 international Townsend for the remainder of the season.

Jermaine Jenas has completed his move to QPR after agreeing a switch from Tottenham.

The midfielder has signed an 18-month deal with Harry Redknapp’s side, the manager having broken the club transfer record earlier in the day when he brought in Christopher Samba from Anzhi Makhachkala for £12.5million.

‘The fact that Harry Redknapp was here was a big factor,’ said Jenas, the 29-year-old who played under the manager at Spurs and who has been on loan at Championship side Nottingham Forest.

‘There’s a big challenge ahead of us in staying in league and I want to be part of it. There’s no time to waste in this situation, so we need to hit the ground running, starting on Saturday with a win.

‘I am fit and ready to go, it’s a top club and I am confident the manager can make sure the club stays up. I know Harry well, spent a lot of time with him at Tottenham and know him well enough.

‘It’s a top club, has some good players and not in that bad a position. They’re four points off safety and can definitely claw that back.’

Redknapp also took Spurs youngster Andros Townsend on loan until the ends of the season.

Jenas comes across as a nice lad when he speaks on TV as well. Hope he does well at QPR.
