Don´t forget you need to hire Sherpas and set up a base camp and 3 advance camps. They don´t come cheap!

Did it last year as part of the Welsh Three Peaks, up there again in July as part of the National version. Lovely views, great cardio and as already mentioned FREE

done it between 50 and 100 times; depending on which route you take can be easy if you are use to hill walking or challenging if you scramble over crib coch where there are a few fatalities each year. I've done them all on many occasions. easy route is Llanberis; then there are three routes of similar degree of difficulty but not technical at all they are Pig trail, miners trail both start at pen-y-pass; and Watkins path which has a long walk in with steady incline finishing off with a steep ascent for an hour from the south, and finally there is Crib Coch which is a grade 1 scramble with breath taking views on an exposed ridge if you have a head for heights!
Most routes can be achieved between 2-4 hours depending on your fitness to the top

Depends which route 4 out the 5 I mentioned are walks some steeper than others but no exposed edges on those routes either apart for one or two on the pyg trail but the path is wide enough so very little danger
