FRAIZER CAMPELL HAS THE X-FACTOR

Sat Feb 02, 2013 8:59 am

FRAIZER CAMPBELL hopes to hit the right notes on his Cardiff debut by keeping Malky Mackay’s men top of the Championship charts.
The Bluebirds’ new £650,000 signing from Sunderland is due to warm up for today’s clash at Leeds by following club policy and singing in front of his team-mates on his first away trip.

Campbell, 25, whose brother Ashford performed on the X-Factor in 2011, plans to impress the Cardiff lads with a rendition of his sibling’s band The Risk’s new single, Missiles.
He said: “My brother is in the band The Risk and they came about sixth or seventh in the X Factor.
“They’ve actually just brought out a single on Monday and so I’ll sing that to the other lads.
“My mum and dad are good singers so that’s where my brother gets his talent from. I’m not very good to be honest.”
The former Manchester United trainee is more comfortable in front of goal rather than in a recording studio.
And Campbell reckons he can help fire league leaders Cardiff – who have a seven-point lead over second-placed Leicester – into the top flight automatically.
He added: “My job is to score the goals to take Cardiff over the line. And hopefully in six months we’ll be in the Premier League.” :malky:
