City - Winning ugly?

Sat Feb 02, 2013 5:08 pm

Leeds had won their last SIX home games. They were on fire to be fair. We nullified them
first. We broke them down secondly. All ugly stuff. When we did break, we broke decisively.
When we got our noses in front we didnt really look like losing the lead. not attractive football
but when you are playing a team on fire... you put the fire out first!!!

Proud as f**k of the lads today.

Malky must be laughing his f*cking cock off over Frazier Campbell

All about the wins now, just seven of them should be enough :malky:

I hate mentioning this in case it upsets my Dear Dear Angelis in Broadmoor.

But i wonder if CastleBlue could come up with some second half stats for
Cardiff City?? Because I'm pretty sure that once Malky gets that team in at
Half-time.. we pretty much NEVER lose the second half anymore. Teams seem
to only have 45 minutes to beat us nowadays. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :malky:

It's all about defending and working together as a team, if that's called winning ugly, I'll take it every time, and a lovely clean sheet. :malky: :malky: :D

Imagine if he got good at setting them up before KO!!

One hell of a half time teamtalk as thought we controlled the second half in a game where we were second best in first half. leeds had all the possesion but we never looked in danger or paniked. :malky:

Being the cynical that I get tagged with there is one major factor that this team has got this season.

When we get a lead we hang onto it. Under the Dave Jones era we lost so many leads in the last minute that our confidence decreased the nearer we got to full time. Now its the other way round where we start to get cocky the nearer to the final whistle.

We dont panic at all now. Get it in the corners. It was weird watching it on Setanta cos
as soon as 80 minutes came up I felt myself physically relaxing a little bit. As each minute
goes by it gets easier. A couple of seasons ago id have needed morphine!!

Same here, we seem more adept and professional somehow.
