Frazer Campbell looked in some distress at final whistle?

Sat Feb 02, 2013 8:32 pm

He was sat on the floor alone, with a look of unease on his face, out of breath, he was adventually helped to his feet by a player as they shook his hand,

but he was well out of breath 2,3 minutes after the final whistle and looked very uncomfortable. finally back on his fee taking a slow toddle towards the sidelines

is he carrying an underlying injury or trying to hide an injury, could this be part reason sunderland let him go for cheap?

hopefully it is nothing, but he played 30 minutes and looked worse for wear than any other player at the final whistle
''slightly'' concerned over this, not massively

He showed some good touches but I think he's some way off full match fitness.Nothing Malky won't sort though.

Malky Mackay we know is not a risk taker and will have made sure, especially because of his previous knee injury, Campbell is 100% regarding his medical.

Match fitness is an obvious issue and I have no doubt he will prove to be a success in us making it to the Premier League.

I have no doubt that he will get stronger week by week. If he's weary now just wait until the summer when Malky kills him with his training regimes. The bleep test is coming for you Frazier !!

He hasn't played a competitive match in ages, he'll be fine

I wouldnt be concerned mate. I think our work rate is out of the ordinary and is definitely the reason we are10 points clear.
Fair play to Fraizer he bought in to this work ethic today chasing lost causes and busting his balls and not surpirising he was knackered as a result. He hasn't played too much competitive football recently and however fit you are match fitness and especially "cardiff city match fitness" is a total different ball game. :malky:

Probably thinking....."f**k the old man won't speak to me again", big Leeds fan I believe, any big family person must understand his slumber

Ohh, ohh, ohh,
Fraizer Campbell will always score goals! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :malky:

He looked knackered because he wasn't match fit yet still gave 100% when he came on and more than he should have to make an impact and win over the fans. He wanted to impress. Rather than sulk he just played through exhaustion for the fans and the manager who has shown faith in him. Couldn't have asked for more from him. You could tell at times when he was chasing down he was stopping to catch his breath but no doubt about it next time he was doing the same.

Just shows the current working man ethos at the club and what the players are willing to do for one another, the manager and fans to reach the overall goal. Its exactly the type of attitude we need at the club and one that is guaranteed to not upset the dressing room.

His scans of his knee sent to the top guy in the states for an opinion Carl hence the delay of almost a week in him signing.
Lack of football more likely to explain his condition at the end of the match

100% agree. Some of players today looked like they were on acid trips when chasing the ball down and chasing Leeds players. That Dubai trip has no doubt helped some of them. :ayatollah:

He hasn't played in ages, and spent the whole time he was on sprinting around like a maniac. I'm ot surprised that he was fucked, but soon as he gets more game time he'll be back to full fitness.
