yesterday dundee united played at home to rangers in the scottish cup.....rangers asked their fans to boycott the game and not give any money to dundee united......dundee united sold tickets direct to rangers fans and 350 turned up.... fans on the rangers forums are calling them "SCABS"........if cardiff asked you to boycott a game would you still go?

p.s......did any of you go to derry city in the cup winners cup?

There was a boycott at Clydebank years ago which I didn't agree with and went to the game. The paying attendance was 29(I got a comp!). I don't like boycott's as ultimately it's the players who lose out on the support but I do respect peoples decision to make a stand against things. I don't think anyone should be called a scab for supporting their team and I'm slightly embarrassed for the Rangers fans over the United boycott. Dundee United didn't cause the problems Rangers faced and they didn't add to it. Craig Whyte & David Murray were the architects of their demise.

Clubs should never ask fans to boycott a game. The premise of a fan is to support their team and a board that tries to right wrongs at the expense of, the only thing that matters, the football are pathetic.

You reap what you sew and they lost.

TBF Paul, Rangers could cure cancer, solve world hunger and achieve world peace and you'd still find a fault with them and a reason to dislike them.

I can understand the point of view of those who boycotted the game and also those that still went along. But fans calling each other names, sitting in two different camps etc....no different to Cardiff really is it? In fact there has been far more animosity between Cardiff fans the 5 years than there has between Rangers fans this season. Rangers support over the last season has been nothing short of excellent.

To be fair, I admire how McCoist and Rangers have handled themselves since the summer. I also admired Charles Green but now I think he is buying into his own ego and he has to be careful before he makes a total arse of himself. The Rangers support has been what it should be and I'm pleased they have remained loyal as many predicted 25-35k crowds but you should follow your team whatever division they are in.

If Rangers or anyone else can find a cure for cancer and solve world hunger then I'd suck them off.

We don't need peace though, that would be a step too far though. Maybe less deaths caused through the fighting though! :ayatollah: :malky:

I rem us being asked a few times in the 80's not to go to Swansea and a couple of other grounds and still at least 400 of us went.

Rangers are a very big team in Scotland. This Green geezer seems to think they
are ARE the Scottish League. No wonder people hate Rangers
