Season Ticket Warning!!!!

Mon Feb 04, 2013 5:50 pm

Be aware that the "spare season tickets are being sold already to general public, know of somebody who phoned the club and got a first time adult and child season ticket in Family Stand.

On the other hand I know of families who have been refused renewal of tickets in Family Stand as their kids are now aged 16 and are being offered tickets in less favourable parts of ground.

I'm aware parts of Ninian are being asked to move so they too are being penalised.

IMO, the club haven't thought this out and are not showing much loyalty to people who bought in when the club was desperate for cash.

If you fall into these categories, be careful you might get wet???

Anyone with common sense wont get wet at all. Just go to the ticket office or phone them and they'll do their best to accommodate you. I have been there numerous times over the years and have never ever had a problem with them. They always try their hardest to get things done.

Agree totally. Called in this afternoon to renew my own ST, and bought a new one for my dad. He' 84, and goes to most home games anyway. Has a stadium card this season.

Why havent the club thought it through? the club cant help it there child has turned 16 and the club cant help that most of the season tickets that are left on general sale at near the bottom.

The only bit i agree on is the away end bit and when people have got to move, yes they havent thought about that.

The away end only has to be bigger IF we get promoted. Surely the club are acting in good time, just in case, and letting people know in good time.

Only just got the getting wet bit. Seats near the front, in the rain :?

There is going to be a problem if fans that have committed season ticket money to the club for, say, 10 years now have to move to less favourable seats when ther child turns 16.

What about the scenario where we make the Premier League, sell out season tickets and stay up. Every season ticket holder obviously wants to renew. What about the children that turn 16, where can they go with their parents if there are no season tickets.

Hey don't shoot the Preacher mate, trying to help!...... There are parents with kids over 16 and 40 yr old adults with their dads in there, if the club is imposing this they should have communicated prior or at least held the additional season tickets back for a month or so.

I was just trying to give people the heads up before they find out the hard way!

Bigger ground then. I guess?
Definitely think the club could have handled this better tho!

I agree it's harsh but they won't run out of season tickets because they've capped it at 20,000. This means that they will always be able to renew elsewhere in the ground if they are an existing season ticket holder, they just don't have much choice of spare seats. This will always happen from now on if we are successful unless they add the extra 8,000 seats in which case there will be plenty of good ones available.

My son is 17 now and we've got to move from a good spot in the Family Stand - so I went down today to renew. The girl on the desk was really helpful and tried to find the best spot available. One of the staff came into the stadium with me to show me the seats (in the corner of the Grandstand). I would go down ASAP if you are in the same position or you'll be left with the wet spots! It seems unfair but everyone is after season tickets for obvious reasons and very few people will not renew so there won't be many good spots coming up.
