" TICKETS FOR SCOTLAND AWAY ON FRIDAY 22ND MARCH 2013 AT HAMDEN PARK "

Everyone who is a member should of by now received their application forms(I have and I have returned it for my tickets).

Wales have initially received approx 2,500 tickets, they can have up to 5,000 if needed.

So there is no panic as there are less Welsh Away Members than there are tickets available.
If you are going, please contact the Welsh FA for your Membership Application.

I attended a meeting about this last week...some points for information...

We discussed the Scotland fixture and the ticket issues. Prices are £25 adult and £10 concessions. The allocation is very good but will be reduced in favour of Scottish fans dependant on Welsh ticket sales. We are being accommodated in the West side of the stadium blocks A1-A7. Strathclyde police are pretty relaxed around the security issues and don’t foresee any major problems. Welsh fans are advised to use the Merchant city area of Glasgow for pre match refreshments but there are no restrictions. One thing that should be remembered by all supporters is that anyone caught causing problems at international matches can be subject to a banning order, that banning order would prohibit that person from attending normal club matches as well as International games.

Serbia and Croatia was discussed and the FAW did approach UEFA regarding our complaints about the conditions and facilities at these venues. They took the comments on board but because it is a FIFA tournament they do not have the power to change things. The problem is a huge body like FIFA sees games played at even worse stadia in Africa and Asia, that doesn’t help us of course but at least we managed to put our complaints across. Further to this the FAW will assist the Scottish FA in regard to the possibility that Novi Sad is again being suggested as a venue for Serbia v Scotland this year.
Upcoming games at the Liberty were discussed in particular the traffic and parking problems in the past. The Liberty stadium and Swansea council are aware of this and see no problem for the friendly and for the qualifying match new signage and plans are in place.
Membership and ticket issues were discussed and all agreed that £10 adult and £5 concession for a two year qualifying campaigns is fair and reasonable for membership which is nearly up to 5,000. It will remain open throughout the tournament.

While the £10 is certainly better than the £25 we had to play last campaign I don't actually see what its for. They charge a fee to their most loyal fans who travel abroad with them just so we have the right to buy tickets. Whilst it might seem fair to you it seems to me they are finding an excuse to make a bit of extra money out of us.

It would be fairer if once someone had paid their tender they didn't have to pay for the next campaign.
Existing members would have to re apply to keep the register fresh and up to date, but they could opt of paying if they didn't want the magazine and other stuff etc.
I think the magazine is excellent and worth a tender for just for that, but there are 3 of us members in my house and we get 3 copies of everything.
