' Conway warns team mates not to get cocky '

Football: Cardiff midfielder Craig Conway warned his promotion-chasing team-mates not to get complacent ahead of tomorrow's Championship visit to Huddersfield.


The Bluebirds are 10 points clear of Leicester at the top of the table but Conway stressed the importance of keeping up their momentum until the end of the season.

Victory at Huddersfield would make it eight matches unbeaten in the league with seven wins from seven away games.

Conway said: "Teams have slipped up in the past when looking like they were certain for promotion, so we have to ensure that nothing like that happens to us.

"We've another long trip now to Huddersfield which won't be easy, but our current form away from home is very good. Hopefully we can pick up another three points on Saturday with the right performance."

Huddersfield lie 17th after last weekend's 3-0 defeat by Derby.

Nottingham Forest, who brought back Billy Davies as manager this week following the departure of Alex McLeish after just 40 days in charge, have been told to reach for the top six by caretaker boss Rob Kelly.

Forest are 11th but only six points adrift of the play-off places and face lowly Bristol City today.

Kelly said: "We are still within striking distance of the top six and there are 48 points to play for.

"The challenge is still very much on but we have to start bridging that gap."

Leeds manager Neil Warnock hopes to banish his side's poor away form when they travel to struggling Wolves. Leeds have only won once away from Elland Road in the league since November 10.

Warnock admitted his frustration at last week's home defeat to Cardiff.

He told the club's official website: "To be three points away from the top six would have been a massive boost and to play like that and be six away is a blow, but we'll look to Wolves."

Elsewhere, bottom side Peterborough host second-placed Leicester, Hull will bid to keep pace with the top two away at Brighton while Blackburn play Ipswich, Blackpool host Millwall and Bolton face local rivals Burnley at the Reebok Stadium.

Charlton will take on Birmingham while sixth-placed Middlesbrough play Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday are at home to Derby.
