CRAIG Noone is a Premier League player in the making – even though he is being used sparingly away from home right now.
Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay insists Noone can step up to the next level despite leaving him out of the last four away games at Leicester, Birmingham, Blackpool and Leeds.
But Mackay said of the £1m signing from Brighton: “Craig can definitely go to the next level.
“I tried to sign Craig for a year before we finally brought him to Cardiff and I think no less of him now than I did when that process started.
“He is a fantastic talent, somebody who really excites me.
“He can absolutely play at Premier League level, no doubt about that.
“But right now it’s about dipping in and dipping out when the game requires it, learning when to play inside, when to go wide, how and where to hurt teams.
“He has the ability a lot of players don’t have, he can go by people sometimes as if they are not there.
“Craig has a huge part to play over the rest of this season and way beyond that.”
