A forum for all things Cardiff City

Looking forward to you lot coming up on the 24th and reading this it seems you lot are too!
Should be a good day with you (as a neutral) having one foot in the Premier League and us needing the points and I presume you will sell out.
Seen a lot of you talk about pubs and usually it is Walkabout, but tonight for the first time that its a bubble fixture? In that case you will go straight into the ground I guess.
And as you read, it was extremely violent on Saturday with Leeds, police nowhere to be seen and proper toe to toe fighting all over the town, because of this if you are given any freedom expect a huge police presence as quite frankly with what went on Saturday and the fact that only 6 arrests have been made so far is quite laughable!
Plus given the history of the game police were bound to be out in force anyway.
To the game - nothing tells me we will win, I bet most of you looking at our side on paper will anticipate a hard game, but providing your boys have the right application and dont do anything stupid you will waltz away with 3 points. You will be shocked how bad we are! Stop Sako and we have no chance whatsoever.
It seems you lot are experts at grinding out results without playing to well or is that unfair? Either way you have too many goals in you and with the way we gift goals and your strikeforce means I fear for the worst.
The only hope is that with the Wolves fans history with yourselves and particularly Bellamy that should ensure that Molineux will be up for it and with a passionate, aggressive atmosphere where we expect to lose the fans might rally and the under-performing players pull their finger out.
But take an early lead and you will see the fans turn on the players which will obviously only benefit you!
But there is a few games before that and hopefully somehow I will be more optimistic before then!
I do appreciate this is early but if there is anything you lot wanted to know about the day/Wolves I will answer.
Cheers.
P.S when you do get here (if we havent already) sing a song about Moxey been a ******, one way to get us all to unite.

Nice post and also stay on the forum, its great to have fans of other clubs on here.
We have been poor in a few games but got the win... but we have a strong back 4 and great keeper so we do actually not let the other team have many chances.
Not many teams have a go at us.
I notice you're team are clumsy and give away silly penaltys and set pieces which we are dangerous on.
I take the game by game process so I always expect a tough game.
Not a long journey for us so its more tempting for some fans who don't like to travel far.

Respect to this wolves fan. Not like Daya! Well done to the admins on here for banning Daya

It could work either way in your favour.
If you come here and have a go and score early on the whole place could turn nasty and you will win.
If you sit back, and as you say have a strong defence, and soak pressure and keep a clean sheet you WILL win.
Saunders has spoke about going into the loan market and new blood might shake up the players but we have been making excuses for years, I honestly think League 1 beckons.
But performances have improved against two of the bigger/better sides in the division with Leicester and Leeds, and you fall into that category, so who knows.

The great news is we have fantastic away form with 6 wins and 2 draws.
We only let in 4 out of them 8 games so it shows we go to away games with the right attitude.
We have 2 home games coming up so hopefully we can do well and get 2 wins which will send us in good spirit for the game.
We can also take our chances.
Also if you have a good pitch that will be tidy. We played on 2 shocking pitches in our last 3 away games which make it quite diffucult to play some Football and counter attack.. Crappy excuse it may seem but it is hard to play on.

Love the comment about Moxey. He has not been that complimentary to us over the years. What we don't see is that most Wolves fans don't like him much.

No, but coaches have to meet at an RV point and get escorted in. You can drive straight there by car.

Designated car park then a short walk down the hill to away end

Parking is a bit of a hassle, wouldnt really no where to suggest as obviously as a home fan I just park at the boozer and walk up.
There is multi-storey car parks in the city centre that would cost but I would guess you could park where your coaches do and walk up from there.
Either way, and especially by train, it is a fair walk to the ground but you will probably be in a big escort.
If you do go around the city centre I would like to think you would be okay providing you just want a drink. But there are usually bouncers who look at tickets on most pubs and home fans only, except Walkabout.
And yes we do hate Moxey! The whole club is in a bit of a state at the minute with negative songs sung about the board and Moxey quite often, so feel free to join in, but I think we'll pick on Bellamy first!

Can't say I'm a fan of being told where to go, but in fairness, the Walkabout is a good size and easy enough to access between there and the ground, enjoyed the trip up there last season despite the early kick off and the fact that we chucked a two goal lead away in the last few minutes. He's right about the fans getting on their back if they go behind as well, Mick McCarthy took the dogs abuse that afternoon.
For the Wolves fan, is DeVries playing these days?

Just received my Wolves ticket and it has the tag line or motto "out of darkness cometh light" thought ours was crap "Fire and Passion" until I read that
Just found this article on Wolverhampton
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... z2Kgpn3QOk I have been to Wolves a few times and have got to disagree with that article, it sure aint a worse place than Swansea.

No de Vries is sub but thats only because Hennessey is injured.
We have a local lad called Ikeme in goal, he has played for most the football league clubs on loan! But is actually very good.
Going through his first little bad spell, nothing major mistakes wise but not as good as he has been, still nailed on to come runner up for player of the season behind Sako!
De Vries has the hump because we wouldnt sell him to Liverpool, after they came in with a tiny offer.
And it is more the police fault than Leeds. Leeds always take big numbers wherever they go, and a lot more Wolves lads were out because of that (which probably applies to you too) so the fact they let it go off like that is, I guess, embarassing on their behalf - just make sure you dont fight with them this time

Streets are shut as Wolves and Leeds fans clash
Two city centre streets were shut off by police after Wolves and Leeds fans clashed following Saturday’s match at Molineux.
They fought outside the Hogshead pub in Stafford Street after the 2-2 draw, while fans also battled in Molineux Street before kick-off. Stafford Street and Broad Street were shut.
Six men, aged 18, 20, 22, 39, 45 and 48, were arrested before and during the game for offences, including breach of bail and affray.
