I understand that everyone still wants to be wearing blue! But why? I think it's the way forward lets just get on with it, you support the cob not the colour of its kit! Come on lads lets just enjoy the last games of this season, we could be promoted next season or we are in some people's mind but let's just support the boys and make some noise! :thumbright: :old: :D :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

That's the problem though, it's not the same club that I have been supporting for the last 20+ years.

I never wear club colours anyway, I'll be happy to accept the red scarf, I'll put it up on sons bedroom wall next to his blue one. lads I know it's hard to accept, indeed for a few it's unacceptable, but what you must accept is what will appear before your eyes next Tuesday, and that's at least 75% of the crowd proudly holding the red scarves in the air.

If someone sitting next to me throws their red scarf away and holds a blue one aloft I won't judge them, they both represent our clubs current colours after all!

City won't stay red for ever, we will be reverted back to blue White and yellow.

That being said, this is a shameless move by the club to get some red stuff in the crowd for this game and future games :?

When, once we've been promoted are are known around the world for our red and black colour scheme?

Why would anybody want to change us back?

Because one day someone who gives a shit will buy the club.

It saddens me to say, but I can't see it ever happening if we go up wearing red and establish ourselves as a 'red' team.

We'll end up with sellout crowds (which is great) and there'll be a long queue of new fans happy to wave Tan's red scarves and replace those disillusioned fans who are fed up of seeing us in red and would rather see us go back to blue.

The longer it goes on and red becomes the "norm", the less chance of it being changed back.

I was just looking at some "You Tube" footage of past City games, Bellamy scoring against the Jacks, and it looked strange watching them in our old blue kit. I don't think we will ever have blue as our main colour ever again. The time to stand up to it (the re-brand) as passed, "IF" we get promotion, we will play in red/black in the premiership, there will be less and less people caring, that we used to play in blue and it will become a distant memory.
Its sad but the world will keep turning, and for every one fan who will stay away because we don't play in blue any more, there will be many waiting to take his/her place.
That's the way it is, at the end of the day its still Cardiff City, that will never change. :ayatollah:

Lets all take £100 to the game to pay of the clubs debt????? No

Im fed up of listening to this red blue debate if you want to have a club to surport except the red if you dont want a club to surport lets get back to blue and we can become another pompey and rangers!!!

Re: Everyone take a blue scarf the game

Indeed we all need to wear blue at the games.....plus it would be a good idea to take Welsh flags like, you know to remind people we are a Welsh club.

To me, I just like knowing that Cardiff has a football team, a successful team. We've been in the basement leagues for too long now, I hate that we won't be doing it in blue, I really do. I don't think a city like us would ever get behind a team say if we were in the conference in this day and age, no chance. Our whole fan base is quite fickle(I don't try to offend anyone there, I was only a fan since 06 and I think a lot of people are MUCH better fans than me) but I say we'd have about 12-14k hardcore fans, then the rest have been picked upon the way.

Blue was the norm for our history but then bam, changed to red all of a sudden.

We don't have 12-14k hardcore, far fewer but otherwise you are quite right in what you say.Lots of spectators and 'fans' but not enough supporters in the true sense who get behind the team as they should year in year out.

Exactly, a lot of fans can say oh I'd love trips and that to grounds that aren't that well constructed i.e Conference grounds but really? Even the Conference leagues aren't all that anymore, not really a lot of atmosphere there you're just closer to the players and that, a City like us should have a big team. It would look incredibly bad on the whole city itself say we had a unsuccessful rugby team(The Blues) AND an unsuccessful football team. This club is much bigger than Conference level. It's the problem at most clubs now, a lot of old supporters are being forced out, they hate the way that football has changed, it's not the football they know and love but to some new supporters they love the new generation of football

Everyone in the Canton should take a blue scarf on Saturday and all wave them as the teams come out. Imagine Tan seeing 3/4000 Cardiff fans waving blue scarfs. It'll put him right in his place.
