As a kid did you play football with anyone special

1) Mel Reece for grange awesome goalkeeper from age 8 a thorn in our side he saved my penalty in a cup semi final also the other 4 in the shoot out went on to represent cardiff Boys with him till age 14. Top chap R.I.P. still a Sheffield united legend also good at cricket for fitzallan
2) Darren rowbothom annoying arrogant tw*t played against him many times also again played in cardiff boys team and Barry boys sides went on to play for Exeter city. Good player but no one liked him

Person who made it the furthest that I played with is Rhys Griffiths. He has just left Plymouth Argyle, and played welsh premier for years. Didn't know anyone with as much passion for football as him, although stroppy when not scoring lol.

Also Wade Barrett the wwe wrestler. We all played for the panthers..,

I bet i also played against a big lad called Devon white in a city trial he went to Bristol rovers he smashed the shit out of me he was very physical and was way to fast he was centre forward and I was in central defense I had no chance

My old man who was a city squad player in the 50's then went to merthyr and barry town was watching still takes the piss still about it

Leon jean from llanrumney, he had a spell playing for cardiff amongst others but fuked it all up, also Simon Haworth, older than me but remember as a kid kicking a ball around with him over ball road school, his dad, before he died R.I.P used to do the after school football

Im 2 years older than bellers, he played against me when I was about 10.
He scored at least 4 goals most probs more against us that day. I played for Oakfield.
He was the same age as my sister. She has a photo of them both with their first Welsh caps. She played in goal for Wales.

I played golf with Barry Johns son and did Duke of Edinburgh with his daughter who was a fittie!

Played against loads. I played against Crystal Palace youth and they had a winger playing for them Anthony Scully who later had a loan spell at City, he was good!
Played against Phil Dwyer at the end of his career when he played for Cardiff Civil Service and was well over-weight but still had it!!
Others who stood out in my younger days were Gareth Knott he had a loan spell at City, Dai Thomas but he was pretty average in my eyes just had a lucky break-through.
