Aron Gunnarsson

At the beginning of this season i must admit had serious doubts about him. Bristol away he pranced about the pitch like he was paul scholes and after that game malky rightfully dropped him. He came back (and if memory serves me right) he was dropped again and don cowie came in instead of him when mutch got injured.

Since then he has won his place back and looks leaner, fitter and has been absolutely superb. He has become the general of our midfield and he busts a gut for the team.

I believe this was superb man management by malky. I believe he wanted a job out of gunnarsson but gunnarsson was performing a different job to what he was being asked so malky dropped him. Now the penny has dropped with him and he looks like a superb player. Credit to him too, he could have sulked like a certain cousin of steven gerrard but instead he got his head down, worked hard and won his place back. :malky: :malky:

The look he gave 1 of the wurzels today could have killed! And when I say killed, I mean literally "longballin" the scarecrow out of the stadium  he's hard as nails, creative, and the anchor in mid. Has truly put Mutch in his place

Couldn't make the game today due to work. But by all accounts it looks like gunnar has had another big game. Thought he was excellent last season and since he's won his place back he's been superb this season. He's probably my favourite city player in the current squad. Workhorse and quality on the ball.

Did you see him throw the towl at the ball boy? Chucked it at him and give him a stinking look, the ballboy was just sitting there doing f**k all when he should have been running over with the towl.

Works hard and he is always wanting to start.. he is an agressive player and reminds me a bit like Bellamy in a way as in motivates hiself by getting angry.

Solid character and growing. I remember his response to Tenrerife at Forest Green when asked about the identity of a new player. Top lad. Throw ins like free kicks. Bombastic!
