A forum for all things Cardiff City

Serious question, do you think with promotion and more fans coming to Cardiff trying it on and some bigger more relevant teams like United, Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham United, Spurs, etc. that there will be some who just won't be able to help themselves and will get stuck in because of the hype of being in the top division?
Also, on away days we'll be allowed to take more away and I can see some trying their hardest to get tickets for these games as there are fans who do like to only turn out for the games when there could be violence like the Millwall's, Chelsea's and so on.
Obviously the police will do their best to avoid this and impose bubble games for these fixtures but as you know if a few jump on a train and make their own way to these places then things can get bad. It would not surprise me if some with banning orders even make trips away just to be outside the grounds and make a day of it because its their chance and we might only be in the Premiership for one season if we go up.
I'm not in any way condoning this but just merely asking the question. If you're going to just state 'violence is stupid omg health and safety FTW' then don't bother replying to be honest. We know that but it doesn't mean it can't/won't happen.
As for the Welsh Wigan giving it the big one about Bristol yesterday in our town centre, when you have a documentary entirely focused on your firm then come back and chat because until then you are nothing more than an irrelevance. Also, sort out the Potters Wheel FFS.

No - It will be difficult enough to get tickets, so you will need to have an away membership and/or a season ticket. I think cardiff / SWP have led the way with police spotters, so i can't see them relaxing that. There will be incidents but the Chelsea sentences may serve as a reminder what happens in the CCTV world.
A few of our Brizzle friends yesterday may have a knock on the door over the next few weeks.
A reminder not at a football match- just associated
Charges over football fight at Newbury racecourse
Racecourse staff said they had no idea why the fight started
Eight men have been charged with violent disorder over a fight between football fans at Newbury racecourse.
Cardiff and Swansea fans clashed at the course, on 14 July last year.
At the time, police said 50 to 60 people were involved in the fight, which started in the grandstand and spread on to the course itself.
Six of the men will appear at Reading Magistrates' Court on 14 February, one the next day and one at a date still to be confirmed.
All but two of the men live in Swansea, with the other two from Cardiff and Llanelli.

I'm sure there will be big turnouts for certain games, man utd, Everton, villa ect and tickets won't be a problem as a lot don't even bother going to the game

Who in their right minds is gonna risk losing their freedom and the opportunity to watch their team playing in the top flight for the chance of dishing out a few slaps? Face it the S.W.P. fought and won the war so nothing will happen , at least in and around the City centre. If an opposing mob wants it they would come to Canton and then we will see.

Judging by the Bristol City fans yesterday I think its arguable that these people do not possess the IQ to take all that into consideration.
Come on, you got to be a bit of donut to not only do that in a bar fitted with cameras but then let a guy record the thing on his phone and pan around whilst getting quite a few of them in the video in HD. Then it ends up on YouTube, a site that is public and anyone can see.

TERRYB,I think a few will come to canton if we get to the prem. United done it a few seasons ago when they were playing in the Mill Stad. Teams like Tottenham ,Chelsea & Everton will try and come IMO

It will be interesting to see how they police Canton with so many different pubs within a short distance full of our Casual element.

There's a chance. Chelsea, Spurs, Man Utd, Swansea could get messy. Also wasn't it a Villa fan that was involved in the Mikey Dye incident?

most probably will have a few tools who will be looking for trouble, these are not fans but 1st class pricks, every club has them, new fans will jump on the bandwagon and few will play up away.

The "so called bigger clubs" will sell their allocation of near 3,000 for their games with us, but as with Newcastle the last time we played them, the majority of them will be shirt wearing family's and upstanding citizens, (shall we say).
Getting away tickets for their fans, as it will be for our fans will be a premium, and the club and police will slowly filter out our livelier element, bound to happen. The demand will increase e and the selection criteria will also, this has always been on the cards and something I have said many years hence.
It don't mean you can't have a good day out, but there wont be too many chances to f**k up and lose your priveleges, watch this space.
