CARDIFF FANS AND AWAY PUBS.............

Sun Feb 17, 2013 5:43 pm

I've watched City all over the country over the years and I am struggling to remember being around a pub that CITY fans have wrecked. Almost always, the away support just want to get pissed up and have a laugh. As I remember, most landlords were chuffed with the takings and usually welcomed us back. Even Chapelstown.

Have there been cases where City support have smashed up pubs.

Oh,I seem to remember Reading took a bit of a pounding on the FA Cup replay :(

As for pubs, no. I've seen a few services done over, but none worse than on the way up to stoke for a playoff game. Llanelli were playing in the Heineken cup semi final in Nottingham so the services we at capacity. We rolled in and I could not believe what I was seeing! The whole entire WHS smiths was empty...I mean every shelf & fixtures....empty. Two grown men on the floor fighting over the last pasty was a particular eye opener.

Rugby fans looked at us like monkeys in a Zoo...probably rightly so.

Back in the seventies Oldhams supporters club bar got wrecked by city fans, the legendary darts player Alan Evans was in there and when it kicked off he hid behind the stage curtains.

Don't recall, long time ago.I remember two city skinheads invaded the pitch at half time and tried to get in their end,the guy on the tanoy announced half time entertainment supplied by two Cardiff clowns, you could do things like that back then and not go to prison for along time.I don't condone it but it was funny.

That rings a bell mate, the place was smashed to bits, Oldham fans fled rapidly when it all started.

yesterday was not helped by the organisation ( not condoning the spotty little pricks that done this mind ) but trying to get 4 train loads of fans into a downstairs bar ( not good ) then to shut the bar ( not good at all ) , use your loaf like me sneak of to the prince of wales
