JOE MASON

Sun Feb 17, 2013 10:04 pm

With the way our attackers are playing at the moment, would you think it's fair that super Joe goes out on loan? Malky simply can't just drop Noone, Smith, Bellamy and so on, due to their emphatic performance against Bristol City. Malky may believe his coaches are the best way to develop young players, but was it the training ground that produced superstars like (for instance) Frank Lampard? No, it was loan deals to lowly Swansea Town that made that 17 year old into a Chelsea record breaker. My point is Mason needs to get first team experience week in week out to continue the excellent progress he made last season.

Hell no. Mason is great to bring on to give Fraizer a rest because he runs after everything. Defending from the front is important and Joe doesn't stop running and will be a nightmare for tiring defenders in the latter stages of games.

No chance, important member of the squad.

As does Bellamy......
You're missing the point, he needs to play every week to fulfil the massive potential he has. That doesn't mean playing 10-20mins at end of game. Also, who came on for Campbell? It certainly wasn't the fella who scored one of the most historic goals of last season.

I can see him maybe going out on loan next season of we go up.
But for now we have a job and depending on the game he may be needed.

If he's so vital to our squad why hasn't he played since is it Blackpool?

I'd like to see him used more often to be honest. I really rate him and I'd like to see him up front with Campbell. He's got a knack for being in the right place at the right time and scoring goals :ayatollah:

Love to see him play, but (looking towards the future) he'd have to go on loan to get vital game time. Give him two more years and I think he'll be our top goalscorer.

It's a squad game, he hasn't been needed since I guess but I have no doubt he will be needed before the end of the season.

I would say its betwen him and Helguson for the space behind the front two so its up to him to push for it.

Noone hadn't played for us since the game against Ipswich until yesterday, so should we loan him out too? This is the first time we have a big and strong squad, and Malky is using all the players he has in order to keep everyone fresh. Wait till April, gunna be a very tough month with what? 7 or 8 games? We're luckily to have such talented players on the bench ready to come on :ayatollah: :malky:

We know Noone didn't play because he's not good enough defensively away, you're just trying to stump up stupid answers. Mason doesn't play home or away.

I understand where bloobird97 is coming from.

He's young and needs game time. If Malky ever contemplated loaning him out I'd like a clause where we can get him back immediately incase of a striker crisis.

However, I too don't want him loaned out, hes such a bloody hard worker and a pain in the arse for the opposing team we still need him. I actually think it's great we're talking about a player like this, it suggests we have a very big squad where injuries won't concern us as much. :ayatollah:

I really don't what will happen with Gestede and Velikonja. They are at the back of the pecking order, They should go on loan, Especially Velikonja.

No mate,I think your missing the point.Training with the likes of Bellamy,Smith,Cambell, etc is as good an education as he'll get anywhere. And also Malky likes to rotate his squad so he'll get his chance. The days where the first eleven pick themselves are long gone.I'd like to see him start with the same XI as saturday but you know Malky will keep us guessing again.

The games are going to come thick and fast from here on out. He will get plenty of game time in the next few games as I don't think bellamy will play every game and campbell is not fully fit yet :malky:

Joes still learning and deserves to part of our team, a good impact sub when needed, i do however think he needs to build himself up a bit, he does tend to pushed off the ball a bit too easy. But he is going no where :malky: :malky:
