MALKY MACKAY FLAG

I'm sure you all remember that this was discussed on here a few weeks ago.

Well, I have spoke to Wayne Nash regarding it and he got back to me with this:

I have now discussed with our duty Safety Officers and have no problem with you providing a large flag for surfing purposes.

The Flag should only be surfed 'prior to kick off' and will need to have a fire certificate (which should be routinely supplied by the manufacturer).

Our Stewards/Groundstaff teams will be happy to assist by taking delivery at an agreed position and store between games as desired, with fans responsible of collection delivery and return to a set position.

The difficult bit of this process is the ownership, collection and return.

A huge blue/white/yellow flag of Malky would be class.

Any chance of Karl Payne having some input on the design? That bloke got talent when it comes to designing things.

This with something like "IN MALKY WE TRUST" or "MALKY'S BARMY ARMY" underneath it - it would look amazing in the Canton going across to the end of the Ninian.

It's the fans who organize this sort of thing, not Tan. It's like saying they won't allow us to wear blue shirts or scarfs. Blue and red doesn't mix anyway and the majority wouldn't want a red flag.

This will then mean the flag can't be used.

It's a Malky flag, not a pro-blue flag. If Tan thinks like that then fans wouldn't be allowed to enter the stadium if they were wearing blue.

We need to think about how big the measurements are, the colour, the design, how much it will cost, if it took us ages to raise funds for a player who won an FA Cup for us imagine how long it would take to raise funds for a manager whose been with us for 18 months?

brilliant news, i understand when people say what happens if malky isnt there anymore, im pretty sure if we did go up and we was struggling next season tan would sack him, soo maybe a rethink about the malky picture ?

Surely the easiest way of collection is by paypal? Or you could get between 8 to 10 volunteers to stand at the turnstiles as you enter, preferably by the canton and ninian ends? Just an idea. Would be class to take it away aswell

Agreed. They simply won't let it happen unless there is red on it. They will want any flag to go in the same direction as the kit and the rest of the club in terms of colour schemes.

Start a Kickstarter project is the best way.

I think the flag shouldnt be Malky tbh, We should have a flag that all fans and players can connect to, A flag that can be used for years to come.

I really don't think its a great idea to have a flag with Malky on, he could realistically be gone within a year, you know how football is!! and it would be confined to the bin! I am all for a flag of some sorts, but in all reality it can only be of the club name or crest not any one person.
