2,500 going to Wolves Sunday

There won't be a red scarf insight

Now there are no more free gifts at the CCS lets hope the weather improves, because let's be honest until this freebie giveaway tonight, there were sparse smatterings of red at a predominantly blue stadium. It did shock me how many wore them tonight, but most were families who haven't been watching us that long. I hate the term"plastics"but when you go from averaging 6,000 to over 22,000 in just over a decade, sadly it's inevitable. Tonight reminded me of the Roy Keane'Prawn sandwich'outburst about how the regular few thousand that United take away were the true fans compared to the majority of the 75,000 day trippers at home.

The modern game gave us a cracking right hook tonight

Its been coming for a while and it will only get worse mate.

Your Man Utd analogy is spot on.

This is the way we are heading.

It was sickening to see, but I'm trying to reason a couple of schools of thought with it. If Vincent Tan gave away 20,000 free blue scarves next home game, EVERYONE would still wear them. As we now know, the majority of Cardiff City fans aren't concerned what colour we wear. They just want to watch football

Nail on head, most fans just want to watch the football on the pitch and talk about that, colour of scarf is irrelevant, lets get back to supporting the team,

Sounds like a few on this thread have given in, all in the name of premiership football.

City Gent you surprise me.

I think the 6,000 to 22,000 thing is the crucial thing here.

I'd wager the 6,000 we used to get are in the main the people opposed to the move to red.

The other 16,000 by and large couldn't care.

I haven't given in to anything. I'm still a proud season ticket holder of Cardiff City FC and enjoying the promotion push. Last nights gimmick was a shambles but as I said earlier, the majority at the new ground would accept 20,000 free blue scarves next week if they offered. They just want to watch Cardiff City FC. The politics behind the rebrand doesn't matter to thousands of families who have only watched us post-Hammam. Sad, but a fact of the modern game
