Luck (who has followed us a lot this term) was not with us last night. Although I did not watch the game, I did listen to it on the radio. Steve Claridge said after about 30 mins "I can't see how Brighton are gonna get anything from this game". How did they? Simple, they got a goal on the break, against the run of play and then hit us on the counter at the end. On another day we would've been 3-0 by the time the ex jack scored. The sudden Doom and Gloom in regards to the rebrand us purely based on the coincidence of the extra visible red and defeat. Had we won last night, some would be on here saying "Red just maybe the luck we've been lacking".
The fans will moan and debate over the effect if last nights result whilst the team will, be solely concentrating on Wolverhampton on Sunday. They have shown many times this term, they do not dwell on previous results.
When we lost at home to posh, we bounced back with results against the Foxes and the Eagles. And I expect the same against Dean Saunders men on the weekend.
Dean is still searching for his first home win and would love it to be against the leaders but Cardiff are a machine and I firmly believe its gonna take a whole lot more than one luckless night to halt that machine.
Onwards and Upwards boys and girls.....
