After spending most of my youth watching city from the bob bank it was now the early 90's and the grange end was now the place to be.Football at the city was booming and the grange end was just getting crazier and crazier by the week.we played barnet in a promotion battle(1-1 cohen griffiths)and the barnet manager barry fry said he didn't see much of the game as he was to busy watching the cardiff fans going mad in the grange!!Nathan blake scoring the winner v shrewsbury cue absolute bedlam!! Carl dale's goal v wrexham when all the fence was ripped down and the players were mobbed. The best one though was when phil stant was sent back to mansfield on loan and the fan's went mad.Petitions were signed and sheer fan power ensured that "THE KING" would soon be returning. Can't remember the game, but the grange end(and the rest of the stadium)was ready and waiting. The players came out and stanty came over doing the ayatollah, beaming with pride at the ovation he was getting.Golden days at the city and a time i will never forget(just a pity we haven't got the fan power we did then)our fans made sure that "THE KING" returned.thanx city for memories that no-one can take away.
