Interesting topic as I was only thinking this the other day. Witts an obvious choice but Blake has been excellent recently, but then we have Burke who IMO was very average for large parts of last season after he joined and has been sensational this season.

intresting point, burke has been so good this year, its hard to belive he was very average last year.

My Vote is not on there

I would have voted Marshall started slowly but recently has been in great form and kept us in so many games - If you look back through the season the number of points he has gained us would be in double figures

I voted Peter Whittingham. Last season some sectors were hounding him out and now he's one of our best players. He's won headers, put in tackles and defended in our own half with interceptions! Darcy Blake has been good but in my opinion, he's always been good. So he hasn't so much improved as just been given a chance to shine.

So yeah, Peter Whittingham for me and it'll be a travesty if he doesn't win.

Surprised that I'm the only one that has voted for Matthews, although it was a toss up between him and Darcy for my vote.

but i also feel whitts and mcphail have improved massive amounts this year

whittingham has gone from being one of the most criticised players to having 22 goals and 11 assists to his name

should be walking away with this

on recent form darcy,over the season whittingham but whats annoying is just think what he could achieve if he never slipped out of games

Blake's played well in the last couple of games, Whittingham's the top scorer in the league, from midfield

Gone for Whitts on this award as well. In the past I have felt he is the most lazy overrated player I have ever seen, turns up for the big games but not consistant enough, however this season he has reproduced his form of the FA Cup run throughout the whole season.

Blake for me at the end as I think Whitts should get player of the year but it would be terrible if Whitts gets nothing
from us the highest goal scorer who is not a striker

Whitts has been the most consistent......

but Darcey has been the most IMPROVED player in my opinion for this season. Taking nothing at all away from whitts, but Darcey Blake has come on leaps and bounds since Jones gave him his chance in the team (OUT of position might i add) and for that he gets my vote.

This is as close as it gets and it is odd as Darcy has played only a third of the games of Whitts.

The people speak but how Witts is not massively in the lead is beyond

If anyone had said Witts will get 15 goals from midfield at the start of the season most would have said WOW player of the season, and 22 goals on he he isnt the most improved and someone who has played a excellent in a hand full games wins it.
