Well maybe they will now stop lifting information from the messageboards and publishing it in the papers, and now start doing their f*cking jobs.

I'd rather read this message board than the Echo / Western mail any day, it's far more factually correct and up to day. At least with a message board there are many opinions which you can take or leave based on there merits, whilst in the press there's only the one opinion and angle of story!
The report suggests that message boards are only used by "spotty teenagers and "sad lonely men" with nothing of and substance to contribute. We'll what does he base that on? I know of solicitors, company owners, millionaires, councillors, players, possible ex Football club chairman (right TNT?) and others at the height of their profession. Sure there's crap too, but that's half the fun of it. If that's what he really thinks of his audience, it's why he's obviously not connecting with them.
Journalists like to think that their opinion is always king and they don't like to be challenged, sure it must be tough to find something new to write about every day, but that's the nature of the job.
So Mr Tucker, love or hate message boards, It doesn't matter, but be honest, you'd be lost without them.

I often find the majority of what's in the Echo, is what i've read on CCMB or on here the night before.
It's so obvious it's unbelievable, even quoting what messageboarders have said.
Seeing as the club have pretty much disowned most reporters, it's the only way they can keep themselves in a job.

some of the media have been hit hugely by the Internet. It's all about advertising for them and if they can't drive traffic to their web sites and newspapers they will suffer.
People are now willing to report their own news, and we do it for free because we have a genuine interest in the subject.
whatever Tucker says, Wales online and the echo etc would love to have the activity that the MM and AA Message boards get.

all reporters are the same, lifless , no friends , sad little pricks

I went in the Canton Cross a couple of years back and Tucker was buying a beer at the bar with his mate (a Pete Docherty wannabe/lookalike) but they werre on their way out before i'd even had a sip of my drink. Maybe he was threatened, can't be sure though

I quite like Tucker's view points when he's just talking about the club because he often hits the nail on the head. However, he's way off on this article.
I'll sum it up for me. I would rather check out the message boards for reliable information rather than the media, particularly the local media! Yes, there is shit out there but it's overriden by the truth. You just need to have the experience to know whose words to believe and whose words not to believe.
Like it has been said, it's a bit of a silly article to write given that their main source of information for articles are the message boards and internet that he's slating.
In Tucker's slight defence, don't be surprised if he's got his balls tied on this one and it's the editor's call. Tucker, as a journalist, is just a puppet for the editor's thoughts.
