I used to do loads of MOTs, then the missus caught me and now doesn't let me out on the piss.

If you go to a council run depot, they will give you a MOT. The good thing about this is that they give you a list of whats wrong with your car if any. They wont do the repairs, so they will be honest if your car has any faults. At least this way, they dont make up faults with your car and then you go to a garage of your choice and ask them to do the repairs.
