Nick Clegg went right down hill this time NO SUBSTANCE and NEVER REALLY SAID WHAT THEY WOULD DO.
Gordon Brown same bullshit and spin.
David Cameron improved stood up against immigration, stood up for family values but still not strong enough.
Just my opinions.
Thu Apr 22, 2010 8:42 pm
Fairly even I thought tonight, no real winners or losers.
Out of interest, why did you think Clegg had "no substance"?
Thu Apr 22, 2010 8:42 pm
Just come on Sky Cameron won tonights debate.
Thu Apr 22, 2010 8:44 pm
I enjoyed seeing Clegg put in his place by the big 2 over trident. Bloody hippie Liberals haven't got a clue, they're as bad as those unwashed students 'protesting' outside.
I thought Brown did well, came accross well informed and confident. My winner today.
My vote is there to be won just wish there was a party worth voting for.
Thu Apr 22, 2010 8:45 pm
Sky would say that, Murdoch will insist on it.

Good evening Claude, because in Clegs summing up he talked and talked about making Britain great again but never once said how.
Thu Apr 22, 2010 8:45 pm
I agree I scored it as a draw and the polls are showing 29% Brown 32% Clegg and 36% Cameron.
I thought Clegg did very well considering the exectation on him but I'm baffled to why people think Cameron was any good.

Can we have a poll put up on May 6th? Would be interesting to see how the opinion of the board compares with that of the UK.
Thu Apr 22, 2010 8:49 pm
If Cameron gets into power, there'll be riots again like there was last time.
The laws the Tories will put into place will cripple the regular joe and benefit the rich bastards. It's bullshit.
I wasn't alive at the time the Tories were in power (with Thatcher), but I've read news stories and heard stories. Bad times.

Great idea, remind me the day before.

Good evening Annis.
Agree on his summing up, and I still think their policies need further examination.
Thu Apr 22, 2010 8:52 pm
Dafydd, you are quite correct.
Their policies will always favour the rich, and sod the rest of us.

that's what worries me about them. I work in the pubic sector (Planning) and i fear for my job should The conservatives get a majority.

Def agree with you on that Claude.

Gonzo, if you work in the public sector then there's no way on Gods earth you should vote Tory.
Cuts are coming, but the Tories will decimate our public services.
It's like turkeys voting for Christmas.

I fully agree any public sector worker who votes Tory to avoid the NI rise needs their f**king heads read.

it would appear so. I have always voted Labour but have become disillusioned with the way they have run the country however, it would appear that there is no viable alternative.

The only chance a public sector worker has of keeping his job is to vote Labour, however even if they are returned to power I think there is a blood bath on the way.

Will a Conservative government lead to the revival of the unions oncemore with the sweeping cuts planned?

A Conservative government will destroy the country.

Gonzo wrote:Will a Conservative government lead to the revival of the unions oncemore with the sweeping cuts planned?
The Unions were never more powerful in the 1970's and 80's. It made no difference whatsoever to the Conservative Government of the day who simply declared strikes illegal and froze the assets of the Unions.
Having lived through those days I can't see any way the Unions will be able to stop any of the severe cuts which are heading our way.

It's possible as the policies of theTories will inevitably lead to mass unemployment.
If you're in doubt about that just think about how they intend to save an additional £6bn this financial year.

Didn't watch it tonight. Fed up earing the same shite from them all, and the same excuses for the next 5 years while publicly slagging off the rest.
Sky will say that, but watch every paper suggest their favourite won it. The press are just as bad.

Gonzo, Dafydd, Claude,
Please, please for the sake of the UK vote for Plaid, independance for Wales and f**k off from the UK. It' no wonder just about everyone in the entire world thinks that Welsh people are backward thinking country folk who can't do f**k all but fight with pricks like you dragging us down. It took Thatcher to give us some respect, Scargill destroyed the mining industry in Wales, grow some brain cells you fools and think for yourself its getting f*cking embarassing.
Thu Apr 22, 2010 11:16 pm
OK, one question to start.
How would Wales as an independant country survive economically?
Thu Apr 22, 2010 11:26 pm
My vote will go to whoever wants to stop immigration and also get us out of the EU.
The EU has billions of our pounds from the UK to spend,
We just won the war against Germany and now they tell us what to do and our government agree!!!
If we stopped immigration people having free houses, benefits etc, surely we would save billions of pounds and our economy would be back on track.
Also stop single mothers having free houses, why should I work all my life to buy a house and single mothers get a free house.

A Conservative government will destroy the country.
and you dont think 13 years of labour hasent destroyed the country. we have the biggest debt in europe as we are today on a par with greece.
my problem with labour is that the last election you voted blair and got brown and their biggest crime was promising a referendum on europe and not keeping that promise.
i notice again last night all the new promises coming out again which none of them have any intention of keeping.
gordon brown saying vote labour to keep the recovery going. we just hit the highest unemployment figures for 16 years for fucks sake.
i left school did an apprenticeship and was a member of a trade union and voted labour.
12 years ago i started my own business and still work 7 days a week and now my workforce think im some sort of tory toff.
You always get slaughtered in this country for trying to do well for yourself and will always get targeted by all parties for taxes.
the simple facts of life here is that the rich people employ the poor or less well off people.
To me i look at labour now and see a watered down tory party look at the blairs and kinnocks socialists my arse look at the wealth blair is accumulating as a reward for backing the yanks in their illegal war against iraq and the way the kinnocks have jumped on the euro gravy train.
i havent made my mind up who to vote for yet but would say to the three of them "what about wales and scotland " why no mention of our countries yet.
