Sat Apr 24, 2010 7:47 pm

Stayed up today by drawing 1-1 at Swindon, over 200 Merthyr Fans went :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

As from Monday they will be no longer Tydfil and will start a new club called Merthyr Town AFC.
They will start 2 leagues lower next season .

Glad they stayed up-they will be against the likes of Devizes Town next season. Hope they make it back to the upper non league levels.

Western League grounds are a joke.

Usually 1 stand (100 seats) and hard standing round the pitch.

I can't work this out, how are Merthyr safe from relegation but drop two leagues?

Labour, socialists type chaps involved somehow, a back handed not given? :?

I'll turn up on the odd occassion next season for Merthy when I can't be arsed to go the shit games like bolton, wigan, tottingham, etc :D

If they had been relegated they would off gone down 3 Divisions. Now its only 2.
