FAIR PLAY TO JOE LEDLEY !!!!

last week i posted a thread about a school i worked in, in canton.
and how cardiff city refused to send a player in to support there kick racism campaign. ending with a reading player traveling down!

the teacher showed me a letter on headed ccfc paper signed by a certain PR..........IT SAID

that cardiff would like to back your campaign............at a cost of £6 PER PUPIL
this was for a player to come in and meet the kids and sign a few autographs
it then said if the pupils would like a tour of the staduim they could..............at an upfront cost of £100 FROM THE SCHOOL!!!

the school then sent a strongly worded email back to THE CLUB who never replied

BUT FAIR PLAY TO JOE LEDLEY, HE TURNED UP OFF HIS OWN BACK AND SPEND THE HOLE DAY WITH THE SCHOOL BRINGING IN SIGNED THINGS AND RUN SESSIONS FOR THE KIDS.........

the point is the school are fuming with the club, and its stinks of a total lack of respect and care for the community, especially as the school is a stones throw from the CCS

the relationship the club has with local communities and schools is appalling, and that comes from the top

riddler only cares what goes in his pocket, which is why the club charges the local kids when players turn up or they visit the stadium

the school told cardiff to stuff it, and the same kids have been invited on thursday to the millenuim staduim on a tour FOR FREE...........

Well done Joe Ledley, but would you expect anything less from Peter Ridsdale? The man is absolutely disgusting.

this is shocking,and this is were it feels that the fans areno longer important,and to joe

That shows all thats bad with the club and all thats good about Joe, and this is the lad PR tried to blame for lack of loyalty and committment to the cause.

i glad you all agree its disgusting, and not just me over reacting. i go there thursdays and will try and get a print of letter.
its embarrasing to go there and get into a convo about cardiff i have to say!
all the kids where city shirts in sport lessons !

Why not punt it to the ferret as well as htv dont seem to get a look in when it comes to city, you never know !!!

regarding the letter, im there to teach cricket as a coach for glamorgan, so whether i can explain to the school about getting the letter. they may not understand. the sport teacher is good as gold and would happily let me get it. even though i spend more time talking about the city with the kids than i do teaching cricket

Just another evil thought. send a copy to Rodney Berman the leader of Cardiff Council as he always bends over backwards to help the riddler.

That would embarass him seriously. Council gives Ridsdale interest free loan of £750,000 for 7 yrs and yet he wants to charge the schoolchildren of Cardiff.

That would really cause a rift between TG and the riddler as the club need the council on their side

CCFC - they should have a community section surely with all the staff they bloody well employ!!! - This is an issue that should be addressed and soon - imagine the attitude in a higher league - they will all be too posh to piss - BUGS ME!!!

insisted on a fee to send a player less than a mile to a local school is horrific publicity
for the club. I hope those that know reporters on this site get motoring once you
put up the name of the school etc.
