Yes I went even if I did turn up late  .

It was interesting but nothing came out about the takeover (whilst I was there any way). Most interesting thing was the Fred Keenor statue which will be mounted just off the first roundabout as you drive into CCS. If enough cash is raised it will be unvailed on 23 April next year.

Away day membership was brought up by the request of the 1927 Club. They questioned what benefits did they gain for their £20 fee each season. Apparently the clubs position is the fee only covers the cost of stewarding of fans who are not season ticket holders and no benefits are intended beyond giving access to away tickets.

The Trust Board seemed to agree with that stance because £20 was not enough to warrant 'jumping the que' for play-off tickets or any other kind of benefit. They seemed to think that would only be an issue if membership costs were a lot higher for example £40-50.

Thorney issue this one because I think away day members should be recongised for their expenses beyond their £20 membership, but there again I can understand the argument that just about 'anyone' could buy away day membership and then jump the que for big game tickets whether they have attended games or not.

This matter needs to be canvased further so when I'm hopefully elected to the membership sub-commitee I will raise it for consideration by the membership.

That was it apart from Trelewis winning the 5 a side tournament arranged by the trust and Corky's son being man of the match. ;)

I went and tony blue williams , who is standing for election ..and is getting my vote ..was there

away membership scheme discussed ...felt it was too expensive ...if it offered more , then maybe club would get more to join up ..as plenty of peopel cant make home games a lot ...club are going to be contacted on all ticketing issues by trust and supporters club over summer..unless I heard it wrong

fred keenor statue ..going really well..it will be on the right hand side of stadium as you come in from leckwith road main entrance

membership of trust ...needs a shake up ..we need to not only increase membership ..but also improve the communication ..its no good just saying in the papers " we have an event on next week " ...we need to let members know whats going on ....lots of good ideas

possibility of a link up event with one of the supporters club groups in next few weeks

hi tony

nothing was discussed about " takeover " before you came

it was a minuted board meeting

fair play they are not the most interesting of things sometimes , mostly about finance , the forthcoming election for the trust ..who should be counting votes , who should be prseiding offcier ..I think its going to be leighton andrews , a city fan and AM for the valleys

It won't be Leighton Andrews as he's unavailable to act as scrutineer on the night but an independent person will be chosen to make sure there is fair play when it comes to counting the ballot papers. Hope this helps.

I attended a meeting of the Fred Keenor fundraising committee last night. We are holding a bucket collection at the Play-Off Game under the slogan of Bring a Pound to the Ground - and more! We hope everyone puts in at least £1. Posters will be going up next week in pubs in Canton, Grangetown etc appealing to fans to chip in as well as a story in the Echo - so get your cash ready when you go through the turnstiles - Phil
