this makes you wonder what we would have achieved if he played ALL season , I for 1 have not been 1 of his biggest fans but far do's this has to be the best season ever we've seen him in a City shirt

Martyn, I agree Mcphail playing shows healthy stats, I believe we are a much better team when he plays.

Annis his last game before his operation and recovery was Derby at home and we all remember the score that night and how many goals a certain striker scored too that night , no coincidence that

plus he seems to play better when he has someone of Ledley's calibre grafting alongside him , when Ledley is out then we dont see the very best from Mc Phail . Be interesting to see his assist record this season along with Burkey's !

i thought he was good when chopra was here the first time. I think he went downhill cos fat fowler and jimmy didn't run!! Ghen last year his confidence seemed low and he seemed to be carrying a bit of weight, but this year he seems leaner and hungrier and when he's like that he's our best player. He's the only player we have that can spread the play and see and execute a killer pass

MCPhail on form, is one of the best (and most intelligent) midfield players in the championship. theres no doubt about that. When he plays- we retain the ball, gain more possesion, more control and play tidy forward attacking football. the loss of McPhail would be as detrimental to us as the loss of Bothroyd... Lets hope we go up - or players will be waving good bye! Apart form Bothroyd - as he's kissing the badge now!

Yeah fair play, McPhail deserves the plaudits but it's not over. It will all be for nothing if we bottle it now. The same for Ledley. Since he came back from the hip ops he's been a new player, like a new signing. Once again though, football is such a game that yesterday is already forgotten and tomorrow is all that counts.

He keeps the tempo of our play up...first time passes...always available for the ball.....never puts a stray pass in and gives it away.....and can play the killer ball...only when its on.Another thing people dont mention is his workrate in defence...he makes as many tackles as anyone in midfield.

Mcphail does well when there are willing runners in front of him-Chopra is the best at that.

I was his biggest critic last season and would have been happy if he went last summer, but he has turned it around this season and has been one of our better players

mcphail, bothroyd and whitts are all premiership players technically
their current form is probably the best reason to believe we'll win the playoffs
