PR give Terry Phillips the team for Sat against Derby and DJ is bouncing with him, DJ is on the coach going to Ascot races with the players. How do the players who are playing feel about it being reported that the star players are being rested, not good to hear for Ross. Mr Chairman you have done it again, you really are a loose cannon.
Surely a better way of saying about using other squad members would be that they are being given game time to stake their claim and not that it is just an exercise to rest the stars.
DJ is happy to finish 4th as he sees the teams that could possibly finish 6th as the bigger threat. But how do the 2000 fans feel who are now paying to go to Derby and watch a second string team and how do the league feel about city admitting to putting out a second string also.
Personally I liked the philosophy of going out to win every game and keep the team building together, the back four has been disrupted enough in the past few weeks, McPhail and Ledley should keep their partnership building after months out through injury.
I knew the team yesterday morning but kept it off the messageboard for the good of the squad and it was quite obvious that DJ and his staff wanted to keep it under wrapsas much as possible and not have it splashed over the press and internet.

well it doesn't matter really, they are all cardiff registered players , and as people always say on here "i pay for my season ticket to watch cardiff city f.c "
Wed Apr 28, 2010 9:33 am
It could backfire. If we were to lose say four or five nil it would not be ideal preparation for the play offs even if it is done with a "reserve" team.
If Jones is worried about the 6th placed team not only is it somewhat disrespectful to Leicester does it also mean we will see a City side under instructions NOT to go all out for a win on Sunday?
Wed Apr 28, 2010 9:57 am
davids that is a very good point and the fans going to derby now that the team will be just going through the on motions

Carl
Surely the board now have string of reasons to sack this idiot. In a normal company a breach of confidentiality is deemed a sackable offense
Wed Apr 28, 2010 10:05 am
the board are working very hard to get rid of pr and without any costs involved.

as far as I know he can only be removed off the board by an EGM /AGM when the shareholders nominate and vote the existing board in or out or as looks likely a new board to take over . Riddler will still remain a shareholder with his 10% or whatever it is if he dont want to sell ................ plus we all know what happened at the last EGM when Annis was shot down in flames for the vote of no confidence
Wed Apr 28, 2010 10:08 am
I am sure they have it with this. A clear case of gross misconduct.
I am sure the fans would help with any legal expenses incurred!!!!!!
The prick has to go, he is a loose cannon, what the hell is he going to do next ?
Wed Apr 28, 2010 10:09 am
im going to derby, atleast i will get to have one last rendition of..........
warren feeney, warren feeney, warren feeney cardiffs supersub.
nananananaannannananannananananannannananananaanaananananaanana
warren feeny cardiff supersub !
seriously though, what a load of old shit, you have to beat 2 of the 3 teams anyway, it will fire up leicester, and may give a mental edege to the jacks or blackpool if we met in final.
go out and try and win every game you play,
as for riddler....no comment !! (WANKER)

That's exactly what I would have thought unless there's something in his contract that says he has the right to disperse such information freely?

IMO the Board have more than enough to remove Ridsdale for gross misconduct and if he wants to sue let him and the club would win.
That said I understand TG/Borley wish to get as much legal advice as possible before proceeding; but the longer it takes to remove him the further away we get from his biggest f**k up which was lying to the fans over the golden ticket fiasco.
That could help his case if we are not careful.
Wed Apr 28, 2010 10:25 am
The board could do a hell of a lot more to remove him if they had either the inclin or the balls to do it but they wont , so the sooner the takeover is done and dusted then Riddler and ALL the curent board can go in my opinion ! What this club needs is a CEO / Chairman of proven ability to run a football club which Im afraid B
orley isnt either ...... he's probably a nice guy but at the end of the day he's just a fan with money who wants to own the club he's supported . CCFC needs a fresh start with a proven board to take the club forward as a business and NOT just an adventure from Boys Own which is what Riddler , Borley etc seem to be doing !
Wed Apr 28, 2010 11:42 am
And so nice of Terry Phillips to print it in the paper.
So much for the club not speaking to him as well eh. Then again, it is the Riddler & he's f**k all to do with my club as far as I'm concerned and what he does say is usaully bollocks anyway. But the master has spoken and his little puppy dog wags his faithful tail and taps away at his keyboard.
Terry - you're a f*cking joke mate.

Can't see what Terry Phillip's has done wrong.
The story is relevant and came from a 'trusted' source.
Jones should keep this sort of thing closer to his chest if it bothers him that much.
This story is the least thing we should be worrying about.

TO be fai to DJ - he doesn't say that though - it's obvious the stroy has been fabricated by "whoever" leaked the team.
I'm sure DJ and the players will treat Leicester or Blackpool with the same respect.
Wed Apr 28, 2010 1:01 pm
PR seems to be doing anything he can behind people backs. If its the team in the wales online article its not a really weak side, and the only thing I would have done different is give McPhail and Ledley some game time.
Surely this team will give 100% in the game trying to get back to full fitness and into the playoff team. The other side of the coin is if you play the full side they could just go through the motions with one eye on the play off games.
Wed Apr 28, 2010 1:04 pm
More than Fuming Carl he is going mental.
Wed Apr 28, 2010 1:36 pm
I don't blame DJ for going beserk
Nor for fielding such a team.
That's at least twice PR has let down DJ (also Golden Ticket debacle) and team affairs are a million miles away from PRs remit. He must be really pissed off with him now, and PR is running out of allies.
As for the selection itself, how would we all feel if Jay, McPhail, etc were to get injured and miss the play-offs
This selection is a gamble but given the high stakes it's probably one that has to be taken given our lack of strength in depth in certain positions. Given that few of this team will feature in the starting XI for the play-offs any loss of momentum would surely be insignificant. I don't think DJ can win either way on this one unless we win the play-offs, then whatever he does now would have been genius

My point is that Terry Phillips is prepared to put into print anything that the lying Yorkshire b*stard tells him - yet will avoid any investigative journalism into the toerag. And lets be honest, there's enough to write about him without the need for digging too deeply.
On reflection though the whole situation may work in our favour. I can't see other members of our board being happy with Ridsdale divulging information that may prove useful to our competitors (regardless that the game is meaningless - it's a breach of confidentiality) and also Dave Jones should be looking at his relationship with the Riddler - with yet another example of being let down by him. Can't see Jones letting on our play-off team to him
Keep on isolating yourself Ridsdale, you know it makes sense
Wed Apr 28, 2010 3:09 pm
Why did Dave Jones tell Ridsdale what the team line up would be ? The managers business is the managers business!!!
besides, before the weekend - any player could pick up a niggle or injury etc etc....
Also, Derby are missing masses of players also! injuries everywhere, so Jones is only counteracting to what he thinks will be enough to produce the result he wants against a weakened Derby team.
As for Ridsdale......... Words can't describe what an ARSE he is. Why the f**k hasn't his wife left him yet?
I hope the club can find a way to kick him out! I'm praying every night now and with crossed fingers too!
Wed Apr 28, 2010 3:24 pm
GLAD that DJ is pissed at PR - just makes it more fun to know their love affair is over!
AS for the "TEAM" - I am not going to worry about what the title of the piece is all about - I look at it that YES the "main" players are being rested and safe guarded due to the play off - for me i think wise move by DJ.
Feilding a "weaker" team - DISAGREE - the players that have been benched/injured throughout the season will be biting to get out and play a full game in front of the fans AND proove to other potnetial clubs looking out to buy HOW GOOD THEY ARE - realistically they should be busting a gut for those 90 mins - lets hope they do and they give us something positive to talk about in years to come : )
thats my view anyways
Wed Apr 28, 2010 4:05 pm
would have liked to have gone into the playoffs on an 11 game unbeaten run anyway, but if we lose something like 5-0 and leicester win 3-0 against a boro side with nothing to play for we'd be 5th
stranger things have happened

A tad unfair on Mr Borley Martin but I see where you're comming from. In fairness to SB he does have a business to run, his own, which in these very testing times is very difficult then having to cover the so called chairman's arse every second day must be doing his head in. Once all this crap is sorted out I think SB deserves a place on the new board for his services over the years, sort of life assistant president or however the eggers do it, we'd have gone down the swansea hole a few times if he hadn't bailed us out. Fully agree that we need professional business men on the board with a clear vision, not a business plan they should have that firmly imprinted in the old grey matter, for the future and several back up options should things become the shape of the pear.
As to Riddler, we should lookto our lefty friends to organise some sort of passive online petition amongest all football supporters to have him banned from the game for life, in the words of some group or other, "If you tolerate this, then it could be your club next, could be next, could be neeeeeeext".
Personally I'd send the bounder to Afghanistan as the UK - Taliban football diversity councillor
