is wales a principality or a country or what????
on the lottery programme with nick knowles on sat, one of the questions was "name all the countries that have the colour green on their national flag?? Wales was not there.
Also, on the very same programme the other list was " name all 22 european union languages" welsh was not there either, but Irish gaelic was.

You say you're from Wales. Technically, Wales isn't a country. Hence the Dragon, and not the "simpler" style flag. Also that's why we aren't on the British flag.

Wales is a Principality (hence the prince of Wales). Technically speaking, we aren't a country. Even though we have our own laws, we're not officially a country.

We're part of England I believe. Which, when I found out, killed me inside.

You blasphemer

This is where it gets confusing. I thought to qualify for the World Cup, you had to be a country, but Wales could've qualified (if Toshack wasn't such a cock).

so in cricket, we can support england as its the "england and wales " cricket board, so why dont we do the same with football.
what a starting 11 that would be...
1 Green
2 Baines
3 Cole
4 Ferdinand
5 Terry
6 Barry
7 Gerrard
8 Lampard
9 Crouch
10 Rooney
11 Milner

Wales is not a country, never has been, just a province of France, engerland or whoever happened to be a king of wherever decided to invade. They generally left our bit alone as we always have been a bit a tidy when it comes to a bit of fight :D

Wales has the same status in Europe as the North East Regional assembly, the North West Regional assembly, the South East Regional assembly, etc, etc, etc. The jocks though have taken it to a slightly higher level, very cute and have managed to get themselves recognised as a "potential succesion country". In Guardian reading circles this would probably be seen as a major success for the jocks, seeing that all the UK oil and gas fields in the north sea are technicaly "off the scottish coast".

Vote Alex Sammon, the fish bloke, done more for scottish independance than Rob and Bruce the spider men ever did. Old Alex trick is to piss off the rest of UK by using our tax money to fund essential services in scoterland make them look good at the expense of the rest of the UK.

Socialism, Racialism, lack of Individualism all the same to me
