National insurance contributions

Having paid n/i cons for over thirty five years means i have qaulified for full state pension when i retire, should i be exempt from paying n/i cons from now until i retire, any advice would be welcome

NI covers far more than the state pension, it is supposed to cover you for free medical care and offer assistance if you became unemployed or fell ill.

So at a guess I would imagine you would keep paying NI until you give up working.

no chance if your on pay as you earn, however im not sure about self employed.
many benefits such as incapacity benefit have a rule that you sould have paid full NI
inthe last 2 years
