Went down city yesterday to renew my season ticket and to be sold that my seats have been sold...............been a st holder for many years but was told i should have renewed it by 31st march......how cruel is that?
A couple of friends of mine went down wednesday too, one who has been a st holder even longer than me was also told his seats were sold yet his mate who went with him......who has NOT been to a city match this year was able to buy a st....i dont understand cox the chances are he may have been the one who bought my seat??????????????????
Surely this is wrong can any one explain to me why this is happening "why have my seats been sold" to someone who hasnt been to city match this season????????????????????????????

You did not renew by March 31st so the seats went back on sale

Come in the Canton Stand you wet willy!
It's rocking in there! You won't regret it!
Bartlett is right. There has to be a reservation deadline at some point. Otherwise some people might just not renew and it would leave empty seats.

I have RENEWED my season tickets and changed seats from the Grandstand too the Ninian Stand, (because of the atmosphere) and I was too late last season.
I was told there were seats available .
I was also told that ANY season Tickets not renewed by March 31st by the existing season ticket holders ,that ALL those seats were up for sale AS A SEASON TICKET PURCHASE for the new season. I BELIEVE THAT WAS ADVERTISED TOO.
I genuinely hope I dont have your seat , but I have only bought what I was offered by the Ticket Office.

I cant answer that question, all I know is people next too me told me in February there was a deadline of 31st March before all seats not renewed were up for sale , they did the same thing as well ,changed seats.

if you were a pensioner on basic pension money who has been a st holder for 30 odd years and you werent able to renew by the 31st march but "could" renew on may 1st.......but was told ur same seats were sold how would u react?????????????????????
Fri Apr 30, 2010 11:47 am
I wish the people sat infront of me would move over to the grandstand , miserable twats !

lmao........well im in the family stand have to be with my city loving boys, unfortunately having to sit next to the away fans is really annoying

lol are you in the Ninian Martyn?

I am sorry which ever way you slice it, it is wrong, To be ordered to renew by 31 March with still plenty of the season left or your seats may be sold is an absoulte joke.
Here's another angle of fairness on it, Say a pensioner who has been a season ticket holder for x amount of years takes money out of his pension each month and saves it to buy his season ticket each year in May or June for example, He comes to do this just to be told his seat has been sold by someone who just wanted a ticket for Wembely and was previous a plastic Liverppol fan, The pensioner picked his seat out when the stadium opened and likes his seat so it's no consilation that he is offered a seat elsewhere.
Holding loyal season ticket holders to ransom by having a deadline so early is not on if the season ticket holder is unable to afford next seasons tickets at that particular time, II would have thought no other club has such an early deadline for currenet season ticket holders to renew.

the Cardiff Trust are pushing for the Canton and Grange stands to be swapped so that familes dont have to sit by the away fans , makes sense to me !

I think that you are spot on , and its grossly unfair . In the circumstances you describe.
However I am just going by the circumstances that were presented to me . I would have been in the Ninian last year but couldnt be accomodated. So all I have done is moved over there when offered by the Club, I have supported this Club for 40 odd years, not always had a season ticket but have for the past 10 years or so.
I was F Block Grandstand at Ninian where the atmosphere was great , the atmosphere this season in the Grandstand was very poor. That s why I wanted to change.
I do understand your point of view completely.
