How popular is CCFC up in Scotland???

I was reading an old fanzine recently, O Blubirds of happiness, dated 10/11/89, & there was an article about some Airdrie FC fans having a liking for Cardiff City. Now i know that info was over twenty years ago, but i also recall our first home game of the 2007/8 season, v Stoke, we were drinking around Canton before the game & there was about thirty or so St Johnstone fans'' in full gear, drinking outside the Ivor, & later going to the game. Also, on another mb i remember, a few years ago, seeing a Scottish band playing with a Hibs & ccfc banner in the background. Out of interest, any info on this???

Well you should know by now there is a few Clydebank boys who follow City. For all that I don't like Airdrie I have heard that a few of their boys go down too, think Annis knows them? I know of Partick Thistle and Greenock Morton fans who take a keen interest as well and I've see a Hibs flag and a couple of Celtic flags at games I've been at.

Always amuses me when I pass a trucker who spots my car sticker and gives a friendly on the motorway up here. I also met a train driver at work who is from Abergavenny. He wouldn't believe I was a City fan until I showed him my tatoo and keyrings. He was also gutted that I was getting down to the Jacks game while he was working in Fife

It's also amazing how many people look at you say "They're f*cking nuts that Caridff lot" when hearing I follow them

Last Summer, when Motherwell were playing at Llanelli, i think, i met four or five of there fans on the train going the that game & i invited them to one of our pre season freindlies in our new stadium the following day, & they actually came & sat in the Canton stand. I also know a couple of Partic fans in work. I also know Antonio, who lives in Edinburgh, & also supports City 100%.

A very good friend of miner is a Hibs fan, goes to almost every game as well as following the Hibs when he can get back up there. Brings some mates down every now and then and they all love it. Drinks round Canton, some of you on here might know him

..and while it's great that so many Jocks follow City, don't let it detract form the fact that Clydebank are THE team in Scotland

I think a lot of Scottish people have a fondness for Cardiff because of their experience here on international days. Scotland are always a class act to come to town with their support and us Welsh appreciate that. Some of my best nights out have involved having the Scots down and every time I've met them they have always said they love Cardiff and Wales in general.
