I quickly read my EGM notice this morning and am slightly confused on the percentage shareholding being taken up. 49% was mentioned several times over the last week or so but it appears TG and VT are initially taking 30.46%, or did I misinterpret that.
What are your views on what their shareholding will be after the EGM and what their longer term percentage is likely to be. I am only a small shareholder and realise that extra share issues will continue to reduce their value. I don't mind that, but I don't want them to disappear altogether. At the moment I am undecided about whether to apply for any extra shares or not as it is a minimum of £1,000 which I could easily spend on a few other things. (a huge celebration after Wembley springs to mind).
This mornings confirmation was brilliant news for the club and fans but I wondered what your thoughts were on their shareholdings and the way forward.
Keep up the good work. Bloooooooooooooobirds.

Hiya Moley.
Having read the paperwork through more carefully now, here's my understanding. You're right that TG and VT will hold 30.46% of all the shares after the EGM, not 49%.
The proposal is to create 118.7m new ordinary shares. 38.2m of these will go to TG and VT in exchange for £6m. A further 12.7m new shares will be offered to existing shareholders to buy and this will raise up to £2m. 12.8m new shares are being exchanged for part payment of debts owed to PMG,CMB and M Isaac and the company MAY choose to exchange a further 20.4m new share to clear further debts from PMG and Isaac. By my reckoning, that means around 35m of the new shares will remain unallocated. These can be used by the Directors to bring in further investment at a point in the future.
Maybe the Malaysians longer term plan is to buy up the unallocated new shares (especially if we succed in the playoffs)? Regardless of that, even with their 30% shareholding and with TG as chairman they're calling the shots.
Incidentally, as a small shareholder myself, I'm encouraged that the new shares are being offered at the same price I bought mine for (£0.1569p). Unless I'm being thick, it seems we're not being stitched up and there doesn't seem to be an intention (at the moment) to swallow us up so we can still get the free coffee and biscuits at the shareholders meetings.
I'm not convinced I want to buy any more shares though because who knows what might happen in the longer term if our Eastern saviours decide they want to buy up all of our shareholdings or sell their own ? We'd be lucky to get what we paid for them unless we're competing at the top end of the Prem and competing regularly in the Champions League.
I decided I was willing to gamble a grand last time and I must say I'm very relieved not to have lost it all this time (we came pretty close didn't we?). I think my Mrs would kill me if I even suggested taking another punt now. Mind, you, if we get through to and win the playoff final on 22/5, I reckon there'll be a lot of people writing out cheques for £1,000 before the deadline of 25/5 and I might well be one of them.
