What has Happened to me!

Hi Everyone!

Well after "lurking" on the forum for the last few weeks, I think it's about time I introduced myself and ask you for a bit of advice, as my mates think I'm slowly losing it!

Right, I'm a rugby man through and through, never really followed football (although I went to Ninian Park in the 80's with my uncle, when I was a nipper) and I'm glad to say whilst my mates were supporting Liverpool, Man U etc, I thankfully wasn't drawn into that, even as a teenager I couldn't understand the logic in "supporting a English team"

Anyway, a friend of mine who I haven't seen for years texted me a few weeks back and said, I'll be in Shepherds Bush for the Cardiff v QPR game if you want to meet up for a pint. I live in Acton, so I agreed to see him in O'Neils............What an atmosphere, a day I'll never forget, and I was a bit nervous because of the rep Cardiff have (I'm from the Valleys) but you changed my outlook on Football. I've been to a lot of rugby games in different countries, but that day was amazing. So now a few weeks on from that day I find myself following all the news on Cardiff, buying a Bluebirds top and going to bookshops looking for Annis' books, watching the Cardiff/Sheff Wed game online, checking this website all the time, watching the Sheff Wed game today whilst keeping a eye on Blackpool and Doncaster!!!!!

What has happened to me??? my mates now think I've lost the plot, and for all I try to explain to them the day I had out with the Cardiff fans they don't understand.

i read that with a sence of overwelming
as i remembered when i felt like that back in the 80's and couldnt understand
why i got so much of a buzz being penned in with a bunch of sweaty, beer smelling blokes, all looking to kick off (back then)

beware this is cardiff your starting to fall in love with, we dont do things the easy way.
