The basic principal and fundamental measurement of success in football is scoring GOALS.
Scoring goals also has the added benefit of pleasing fans and growing attendances. Whilst I do not dismiss the merits of defending and I admire resolute defense when the situation demands. I still go to watch GOALS GOALS GOALS.
Below is this years championship table on Goals scored. Interestingly we are still fourth. There are some strange movements, but the most staggering and shows how much of a false position the jacks are in. Swansea, on Goals scored are the worst team in the league. ABSOLUTE FACT, not subjective, not opinion a simple measured fact.

I think it's very unsportsmanlike to use facts when discussing that fine amateur side Swansea town! Come to think of it I once scored more goals than that from the left wing one season --- and I had a dodgy knee at the time.
