Guns about who you are Voting for.
I posted mine 3 days ago
I dont believe a hung Parliament is good for our Country. So Vote either Conservative or Labour ?
Mon May 03, 2010 9:01 am
I am still in 2 minds - if only i had a crystal ball to see who would f**k up the most eh!
Mon May 03, 2010 9:02 am
I'm all for a hung parliament but not between the 3 parties. I would like to see about 200 Independant guys get in.
Mon May 03, 2010 10:04 am
still Labour best of a bad job, its dosent bare thinking about what the torys will do to our emergency services etc and bring back fox hunting
Mon May 03, 2010 10:20 am
I've made my mind up - sticking with Labour. Would never vote Conservative as I work in the public sector
and the Liberals are just too weak on all aspects, crime, immigration Trident etc.
Mon May 03, 2010 10:34 am
dont think i'll bother they all promote something i dont want,
so whoever gets in and feks up this country more, i will be able to say i didnt help them.
Mon May 03, 2010 4:36 pm
i'm sticking to my guns and voting ukip, it won't make any difference in i know but it's what i believe and i will feel better for doing it, a sheep could be the labour candidate around here and still win.
Mon May 03, 2010 4:38 pm
Lib Dems for me.
Economy is a shambles and I really don't want Brown in for another term let alone Labour.
Mon May 03, 2010 4:43 pm
I was thinking of voting LibDems for the first time in my life after watching the way Clegg carried himself during the first debate. But now I'm not so sure and I'm pretty sure I'm going to vote Conservative as per usual, even though my 2 dead Grandads will probably be turning in their graves
Mon May 03, 2010 4:46 pm
I also think that, to be voted into power, or ven enough to form part of a hung parliament, the LibDems need to be more decisive instead of seeming to put all their eggs in a hung parliament basket
Mon May 03, 2010 5:09 pm
if the lib dems get into power we will lose the pound , lose even more power to brussels and in the end get sucked into a european super state, greece ,spain and portugal are in a worse mess than us thats the eurozone for you, ireland economy is f*cked, if nick clegg had his way we would already have the euro.

He stated in the last TV Debate he would hold a referendum and let the people of the land decide on the Euro.

That will happen eventually no matter who is in power Lib Dems Labour or Conservatives. If you want to stop the roll to a European Super State then UKIP are the only option.
As for myself I am voting LibDems, but admittedly it is more to do with the local candidates rather than national policy.
Mon May 03, 2010 7:06 pm
LibDems fo me as well. Clegg is the best of a bad bunch and I actually agree with a few of their policies (scrap trident & id cards). I also like the fact he's prepared to admit he's an atheist, the sooner the human race leaves religion behind the better IMO.
I also refuse to vote for Alun Michael (my current Lab MP) after finding out he claimed £250 every month (the most you could claim without submitting receipts) for food ! Why the hell should he get free food, they may need a 2nd home but surely they only eat 3 meals/day like the rest of us.

On a local level , are any of the parties interested in my livelihood. Heavy industry is something none of them seem to back ? And , this is mirrored at a national level.
Years ago , the saying was that "We can tip a bucket of iron ore into one end of this country and get a car out of the other end" .............. now no party seems interested in my industry ?
I guess I won't make my mind up until I read more !! But , this country needs a product to export , to sell world-wide , what are we gonna have left ????

You know my views on this Gary, just what the hell does this country make these days? We don't even make chocolate anymore because that was bought up by an American company who borrowed the money from a British Bank which had been recapitalised by the UK taxpayers!
What kind of warped country sells off all its best and most profitable manafacturing companies to foreign competitors just so they can close them down and put our people out of work?
It is bonkers and the first party who gets a grip of it will get my vote.
Mon May 03, 2010 7:34 pm
I'm out of the Country and, play off final excepted hope to continue.
Over the weekend I read the manifesto's of the so called top three parties.
What a load of bollocks, all three look as though they've been cobbled together by a bunch of guardian reading brain dead morons. Our little island is financially fucked yet these public school fuckwits "promise" to maintain foriegn aid whilst reducing the tax burden on individuals and company's but cut the "structural" deficit within "x" years. The olny crumb of common sense I could see came from the labour wankers who proudly write that they will abolish the Regional Assemby's. Hurrah, but those twats set them up in the first place, doppy socialist middle class daily mail reading tossers.
A vote for Cameron is a wasted vote, he shouldn't be anywhere near a Conservative party leader, far too slimey.
A vote for Clegg and his cohorts is a vote for total chaos, I like chaos but prefer string theory, buts way above most peoples heads so I won't go there.
A vote for labour would be not disimilar to giving Mr Risdale a multi billion pound account and saying fill yer boots my son, we really, really don't care. You done Cardiff, Barnsley and Leeds (not all bad then
) now try the big one. It took Labour seventeen years to totally screw this country, I wager you could "name that tune" in six months.
I'm not voting for any of the single celled organism's, the country is totally bolloxed and what's comming ain't going to be nice but if one of them actually stood up and said that, then a leader we would have. f**k um.

Your point of "what's comming ain't going to be nice" is going to turn out to very true in my opinion. And I say that not for heavy industry workers like myself , more for public sector workers. I really fear that they are going to take the brunt of getting this country out of the shit. It won't be overpaid managers , it will be the workers who are put out of their jobs !!!!!

I decided a long time ago.
I have my migivings about the two major parties to be fair.
But I think 13 years in power is enough for any party unless of course they are doing an excellent job. However I reckon Labour have been running on empty for several years now.

The civl service went on strike because of the way they treated us
SO I can't see why you'd prefer Labour to the Tories

I can only go on what the parties have been saying Elwood. A Tory government would make deeper cuts into the public sector than any other party, rightly so some might say, but that's my livelyhood which I must seek to protect.

One would have thought that the Torries would have got to grip with this but from what I have read of their manifesto they have no clue whatsoever of the feeling in the UK at the moment.
I'm only hearing from wife, family, colleagues and friends about whats going on over there. After talking Wife out of voting for BNP, she gets some leaflet from the communist party, aye a joke to normal people but she's Slovakian and can still remember the knocks on the door, hello, goodbye, never seen again, so was quite upset.
Some of my Scottish mates, not all, are jubliant, they're singing their songs of independance already and looking foward to a "free" Scotland funded by the European Government. It has been pointed out to them that are on the wrong side of the god bothering nonsense so will get f**k all.
My family in Wales are dreading the election, Mum's a pensioner now, worked all her life, step dad was retired but now works as a security guard, a tidy lad in his day ex-para, British Army heavy weight boxing champ but is 67 now! Brother does have a job but the gov take most of his money for his ex-wifes kid. A not untypical family I'd imagine. Perhaps if someone stood, spoke up for the honest, hard working people of this little island without being shouted down as a "rascist" then perhaps, just perhaps that person could get us ALL out the shit.

I don't think you can rely on what they have been saying now Gonzo. It'll be a different ball game after the election
Whoever wins will have to do more than they have already said.

For once in my life I do fear for the future of the UK. As much as it pains me to write this it does appear that the only "politicians" that seem to understand the mood of british people are the BNP. I think they'll get a lot more of the vote than is predicated and if that happens it will down to the arrogance of the main parties.
Perhaps the TV should show the graves of our fallen from the "first world war", pan the cameras around the graves of the known soldiers so the youth of today could see the ages of those that made the ultimate sacrifice. Young lads, some very young that fought and died so people like us can write on mesageboards. We owe our elder generation so much more than we can ever give, the least we can do is respect them.
I'm on one now, so sorry if I offend anyone. Harry Patch, the last survivor of the trenches, WHY,WHY, WHY wasn't that on National TV in the UK, it was in Germany, France and Belgium? We had an item on the news, 30 seconds maybe, German TV had around 10 minutes in respect of Harry Patch. The f*cking queen dies and we'll have our TV blacked out for two days to mourn for fucks sake, who gives a shit? Why not have a minutes silence for our soldiers that have died in these f*cking pointless "wars" in Irag and Afghanistan not that it'll do them any good but the least pointless politicians could do is look after their families, the children left behind fatherless, whats going to happen to them? Probably survive ok as they have "genes" of a brave man.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them nor the years condem,
At the going of the sun and in the morning,
We shall remember them.
I am ashamed that I couldn't remember those immortal words above and had to look them up on the internet. Every man, woman and child throughout the whole world should have those words.
