Does anyone know if there are any plans in regards to how away travel will be structured next year.
Being someone who travels to most games, (I have missed three due to work this season) I am concerned what, if any, plans are in place for next year regarding away travel, the distribution of tickets and how much independent travel will be allowed if we are in the premiership.
My big concern is for the perceived stella games, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool etc and if we are given 1500 tickets, we are likely to have 5000 people wanting to go. It is likely regular travelers will not get to these games or at best have to worry about the allocation and take special actions regarding, booking online, telephoning at the correct time or even queueing. I don't have a problem with any of the scenarios per se, but my work makes this nigh on impossible. The likely outcome, I will miss games. What I would like to see is an away ticket membership, or an extension of the ambassador ticket to include away. It could be called the Carbon Fibre Ambassador with an extra £100 or something which guaranteed you first chance of a ticket. I dont particularly believe in priveleges but I do believe people who are prepared to put themselves out and go to every game are not on the same footing as the once a season wannabee's.
If we hit the premier league what's the rules for away tickets and away travel.
Regards
Haydn

sorry have to disagree there
before i start i'll set some stats up first im a plat ambo, and been a S/T for years, only been to 3 away games this season.
this year my priority was making sure i payed for next season first,
if for the want of better words, "glory games" come up, i will be looking to go to them if money/family/work commitment allow,
saying that i have been to some premier grounds like anfield/stamford bridge to watch city, so they would not be my priority, for me it would be grounds i have not been to. i suppose it will be all about what game will come around in the same month as the big bills that come in over the year like mot for the car, tax for the car, them kind of things, limited budget means you have to plan
anyone for what ever reason that can only make some games due to work/family commitment a season are not the ones the club will look after, they will look after the guarenteed money spenders I.E people who have commited their money for the whole year, it makes good buisness sence. look after your best customer

I have heard that some Premiership clubs sell tickets in "bundles", in so much as you pick and choose your games. I can't think of a better way to explain, and it sounded so much easier to understand in the pub when I was told it. But, the bottom line is you can't just buy a ticket for, say Manure away, you have to buy tickets for other games also. Could be the reason some away ends at Premiership grounds aren't always full
