No mans land set up between, Grange and Bob bank with fences on each side.
Plenty of rubble hit the grange roof and if there had been cctv, they would probably have needed to build a new prison

I’m still intrigued to find out (and nobody seems to know) if the nutter in the velvet jacket, white trousers and platforms sticking the boot into some poor guys head was a manc or Cardiff fan.
Colour pics would have helped.

back in those days as a spotty teen living in Llanrumney, Me and my mate would always catch the bus into the bus station and walk down Tudor Road to Ninian Park for all home Games. :bluescarf:

Always very aware of any opposing Fans kicking off on walk to Ground.

That particular game was a one off for me - never seen anything like it then or since.

Literally Thousands of Man U Hooligans walking/running down Tudor Road from central Station abusing everybody, bricks through peoples windows living on Tudor Road. Trashing dustbins and anything else they could kick or throw.

Don't remember much from the game but never seen anything like that scum on that day. :old:

One of the best days i ever had at a game, everyone I knew were determined to give UTD a day to remember.
I recall 2 guys on a scooter without helmets driving up and down Ninian park road giving instructions as to where utd were and what streets to go down to intercept them.
Saw a few utd banging on a door to be let in as the City baying mob were descending upon them,City fans were booting them through the passage way in the houses,it was carnage all day.

That photo at the station is interesting in close up.. the guy on the left has a Doc Army scarf from his jacket, but behind him is a guy that resembles Chewbacca..that guy from Dollar is there too. Bit of Rollers Tartan as well..

Looking at the faces they look as tho’ they’re out to have a day of fun and enjoyment.
