Winter solstice, after Today the days start getting longer...snow pretty bad in Treharris Today...have to get to Barry for Donald's funeral...hope there will be a proper good turn out despite the weather. R.I.P. Donald

It's only something small but little things like the shortest day of the year help make you feel positive knowing that from here summer is only going to get closer.

Actually a day is 23hrs 56 mins & 4 seconds long. (Hence the need for the -/+ 1hr daylight saving)
